Tice is an idiot. One thousand people dead in two months from extreme heat and he says - enjoy it. One hundred thousand will die in Europe this summer. Tice says see the positives….. He lives in a bubble disconnected from ordinary people, the reality of wild fires, burning homes, lost homes - five heatwaves in one summer (so far). 1976 was nothing like this. The science is clear, our carbon emissions have driven atmospheric carbon to levels last seen millions of years ago - mass burning of fossil fuels in just 200 hundred years is the cause. This is not normal. It makes sense to reduce those emissions as fast as possible. That’s not arrogance that’s common sense. Celebrating better wine off the back of deadly weather events is arrogance, wrapped up in stupidity - presented as populism. Oh and desalination works in the Middle East because they have access to dirt cheap and abundant fossil fuels in those countries - it’s the most expensive way to make water and guaranteed to send our water bills through the roof - if we had to adopt it at scale. Tice is an idiot.

.Reform UK is constantly in the news for dodgy donations; the secret £5m from a Crypto dude, the criminal investigation into millions more in ‘masked’ donations - today it’s unlicensed gambling and Reform's two biggest donors. So what on earth was Nadhim Zahawi thinking when he went on Good Morning Britain the other day and claimed that I funded Count Binface's Clacton campaign - to the very specific tune of £180k. I mean first it’s a tiny drop in Reform’s dirty ocean. But most vexing, it’s an entirely false claim, based on nothing as far as I can see, just a convenient fantasy. God knows why Nadhim Zahawi thought this fantasy might help cover Farage’s Clacton blushes - I mean he struggled to beat a Bin (no offence to the Count). But here’s the thing - if Reform happily make up shit like this, what else are they claiming that is simply, totally untrue. ITV News carried the original claims and set out a correction today - have to say it was a bit half hearted.

Farming takes up 75% of Britain's land. If we all went vegan, we could give back to nature 75% of that land - which is half our entire country. We grow plants to feed animals to feed people in a system of incredible inefficiency. And as a result, we've eaten Britain's wildlife out of house and home.

Ten Million Turkeys are killed every year - to celebrate Christmas. It’s a Turkey Holocaust. And that’s before you consider the conditions they live in. And just how Turkeys are bred at this scale….that’s a horror story of its own - expose coming soon. Meanwhile pls just say no to Turkey this Xmas, extend the goodwill from all mankind to animal kind too.

Last week, Rees-Mogg claimed that tax breaks aren’t subsidies and challenged me to do my homework. Well, I did. Turns out, the Subsidy Control Act 2022, a piece of Brexit legislation, was passed when you were Brexit minister and it clearly states tax breaks are subsidies... Time to brush up on your own laws Jacob Rees-Mogg - will you now admit that in fact it was you who was wrong?

Check out this clip of Julia Hartley-Brewer denying that the climate crisis is man-made, with a smirk and a 'premonition' that Ofcom might disagree with her. Climate denial is dangerous, it sows confusion and doubt and holds back the urgent actions we need to take. That's why I've suggested it ought to be illegal, it causes great harm.

Just been on Talk with Mike Graham 🇬🇧 about #StormBabet. He was all turbocharged nonsense, which is usually a bit of fun, no exception here really, once I remembered there was no use trying to discuss facts..:) He asked me for a definition of climate denial, and when I gave it to him, he was speechless for about two seconds - an age in his world..:) And then denied I’d given him a definition…. You couldn’t make it up…. and there’s no need..:)

Good chat with GB news just now, yes honestly….:). Afterwards they talked to each other sharing doubts that the price of North Sea oil and gas can actually be controlled - that’s a fairly classic or standard thought and expected, I could have helped them if they had asked me. I did point out that we can use the green energy support mechanism for this, that sets a fixed price for new green energy - regardless of where the energy gets sold and at what price. Called a CFD it’s pretty slick and we can use it to support the North Sea and save money - and hopefully end this distracting saga..:)
