Now with Baby Alvin she can’t go to every single one and my mother in law is about to have another round of treatment. So my wife made a sign up thing for family and friends to volunteer. 2 hours. Every single spot is taken 💙 Cancer sucks.

What flying used to mean: avoiding it at all cost, asking awkwardly for a seatbelt extender, that pit of dread settling in my stomach, spilling into the seat next to me, always flying alone, thinking about canceling the whole trip What flying means now: little man meeting the pilots, no extender needed, excited for the destination, fitting into one seat, flying as a family Never give up.

I hit rock bottom, waking up hungover & 400lbs+ getting an error on my scale. In 2022 I flew for the 1st time since covid Had to ask for a seat belt extender High blood pressure single, alone & lonely Pre diabetes Couldn't get my weight Sleep apnea Binge eating daily Resting heart rate 117 Day drinking every weekend Low fertility Battling credit card debt ($60k+) Today, I’m driving my wife & six month old to his first Easter egg hunt, Easter church tomorrow at my mother in laws, the church my wife grew up in, in rural GA. Next week my parents are visiting and Im taking a few days off to spend with all of them. I’m not done yet. I’ve got a long way to go. But No more error No more extender No more high blood pressure No more pre diabetes No more single, alone & lonely No more credit card debt No more low fertility No more drinking or binge eating Life is good, God is great 🙏

Baby Alvin doesn’t know it but that pillow is made from my late grandfathers shirt, Grandpa Alvin, the most meaningful gift my wife got me for Christmas 🎄 (ok it might have been for Baby Alvin and not me 😂 we have one at home that’s made out of my wife’s late grandfathers as well, so Baby Alvin will have both his grandpas looking over him in his nursery as he grows up 🙏)

Small health update from me, in Dec I started seeing a new doc and they did all my blood work and labs and a heart thing, turns out I might have an extra heart beat, rarely - I thought that would be a good thing, turns out it might not be a good thing, anyway lots of tests for me today which is why I haven’t been on here much today 🙏

I believe in hard work. I don’t believe online politics & culture war is useful. I am optimistic about the future. I have student loans. I didn't go to a fancy school. I celebrate progress, not perfection. I didn't inherit anything. I am building this life from the ground up. You can do it. I can do it. We can do it.

Happy weigh in Wednesday y’all 🤠 Weight: 256.6lbs down -143lbs weight loss (Per the doctors yesterday as reported in the doctors visit summary👇) Blood pressure: 130/82 Height: 69 inches 👀Nice👀 Unfortunately since Baby Alvin was born, work travel & holidays - I’ve gained 14lbs 😅 not the end of the world, but I’ve also missed a few workouts (ok maybe more than a few). Time to bring back the weigh in Wednesday’s for a while, not during travel weeks but at least 1 a month to make sure I’m on track, normally they’ll be at home weigh ins, not the doctors visit report. But for the first one a doctor’s visit summary is better, I’ll post that whenever I have it. Happy new year y’all 🙏

My mother in law opened her Christmas gift a little early so I can set it up for her. She lives in rural GA, no cable, no fiber, one bar of cell service if you’re lucky. But, I saw that starlink has $80/month internet, available at her address, which is only $17/month more than she’s paying for 3mbps AT&T DSL internet from before I was born. It was our Christmas gift to her, Wish me luck setting it up 🙂

"He is such a happy baby" He spends all his time with his mother or father 💙 He gets fresh air and sunshine everyday ☀️ He eats new baby foods almost daily He gets a bath pretty much nightly (which he loves 🛁) He often naps with/on his mother or father 💙 He hears out heartbeats daily We sing songs with him everyday, which he thinks is very funny 😂 When he is fussy we pick him up, change him, feed him, play with him - immediately 🤠 I’m not an expert, I’ve been a father for 8 months, but it’s working so far!

Started off my Friday in a not so great way, taking my wife’s car in for a probably expensive car repair. But, I did something I never would have done in the past, because I couldn’t when I was getting an error on my scale & needed a seatbelt extender, I walked home! I know it’s not the Olympics or a marathon, but it was a pretty good start to my day (well it partly offset leaving the car at the shop haha) 🙏
