Today my 11 years old son surprised me again and I feel stupid. I decided to place objects on the sphere (Unreal Engine) and at that moment he asked me what I was doing. I told him and he did it. I have been working with UE for 14 months, he is 2 hours. Our children are geniuses

5 minutes later... I've lost count of how many times my little genius has surprised me, I'm only showing a part of it here. I think it can already work with me as game developer partner

You know I love Unreal Engine. I finally got to the stage where I started practicing optimization. For 4 hours I tried to make the glass with ice not only outside the window in reality, but also for the game. I made several variants and even interesting patterns for UV, which I will show later in separate "learn stuff" videos. The summary of this video is obvious, refraction and transparency eat like a big whale. So I had to turn it off and do it through a mask.

Unbelievable! By disabling this parameter in post-processing, the visual bug, the noise, disappeared!!! Lumen Global Illumination - Screen Traces - Off #UnrealEngine #UE5

Hello my dear game developers. Do you make glass that will blur what's behind it? If you work with Unreal Engine, there is a node SpiralBlur-SceneTexture. Do you use it? I tried and now I think I need to make some of the windows like this #gamedev #UnrealEngine #UE5 #tips

I finally did what I imagined. Post-processing material that the player will see when they enter the field of the mystical swarm. I love glitch effects, but I wanted to do something strange, a combination between underwater and electronic

I decided to see what this led sign would look like if the quality value was not static but varied from minimal to maximum value. When I added a noise node instead of the value, it was an incredible effect, but I won't show it. Maybe later

Don't bump me! Because I know kung-fu, I meant Unreal Engine. I will answer you with an offset. This technique is called - BumpOffset. I'm serious, this is no joke :) Today I'm a stand-up comedian from a indie game dev #UnrealEngine #UE5 #tips #gamedev

I changed the approach a bit, this time the Refraction is more stable, everything happens on the Normal side. Unreal Engine material... something that will suck, but not a black hole, and not an ass #UnrealEngine #UE5 #shader

Unreal Engine, Blueprint... I made this cable with a spline, then saved it as a static mesh so the material could work more correctly. Now, I'm wondering if I can repeat this effect with a Cable Component with physics + hold a object #UnrealEngine #UE5

Unreal Engine, Material, experiments... So this time I want to show the node that gives us the cubemap... for example to create pseudo holes. Please, add a lot of likes to the post and I will show another experiment with this #UnrealEngine #UE5 #shader

I wanted to make electrical stuff without using Niagara, just a material. But I realized that the noise node is not suitable for this, for this implementation need a texture. But I made something unusual and cool, maybe I'll use it in the game #UnrealEngine #UE5 #shader

So, Unreal Engine. I want to make several implementations of this concept, this is the first. Niagara as the effect of an electric shock around the mesh. But for this the Mesh needs to enable the parameter, otherwise Niagara won't be able to take the info #UnrealEngine #gamedev

Strangely enough, this song (Space Junk by Wang Chung) has many hints about what will happen in the game Wishlist #indiegame * #indiedev * #pixelart * #gamedev * #gaming Space Junk Mapping out constellations Of the place I know so well Sifting through the system For the piece that knows my name Endlessly I listen, in the master game Welcome to my world ... Dreamily inattention, and the sub-atomic bomb Machine that spins within me And the spirit that drives me on Searching for an answer ... Songwriters: Nicholas Laurence Feldman / Jack Ryder
