Days after Michael Eisner became the CEO of Disney and Frank Wells became the CFO, they traveled to Walt Disney World and spoke to Cast Members in front of Cinderella Castle. If you’ve never seen this before, you should absolutely watch Eisners speech here. There’s a quote in it I find pretty fitting for current times in the parks. “It is essential to maintain the old, to respect the old, to replenish the old, to enhance the old, to modernize the old, and to make that move forward. At the same time its essential to do what I’m sure Walt Disney himself would have done, is to experiment with every new and innovative kind of entertainment possible. Whether it be a new attraction here, a new theatrical motion picture, a new television program, a new kind of entertainment, anything that we can think of that is innovative and probably more than anything else, excellent.”

It’s honestly insane how different EPCOT is from 40 years ago. Like, unrecognizable. Here’s a segment from the 1986 documentary Walt Disney: A Dream Come True where they tour around Future World. Almost EVERYTHING in this clip is either gone, or has changed in a big way. Man, I really wish I could’ve experienced EPCOT in the 80’s. 🌐

Doesn’t everyone know that you can’t take food to go at a buffet? And as someone that has had many GI issues and underwent various tests, including what this lady has, you should know better. You can’t blame Disney (or any buffet/family style restaurant) for the rules they have in place. If you can’t eat the food there, go to a normal restaurant.
