Border Patrol pulls over a 20-year-old in Slidell, LA for “white lights on the back of your vehicle… your reverse lights are on the whole time.” Then, before writing a single ticket, the agent asks: “What’s your citizenship?” The driver, Alan Laureano, was born in Slidell. His passenger — his 13-year-old stepbrother — was born in Pearl River, Louisiana. Both are U.S. citizens. Didn’t matter. Twice, on camera, the agent tells Laureano he’s going to “check” the kid and “if he’s illegal, I will take him.” He tries to open the 13-year-old’s car door himself. Laureano locks it and rolls the window down instead. The agent then interrogates the child directly — full name, spelling, date of birth, birthplace — while Laureano stands his ground and refuses to hand over his own ID, telling the agent he doesn’t have the right to stop him over a taillight. Immigration attorney Michael Gahagan reviewed the video and called it what it is: “an illegal detention.” Border Patrol isn’t authorized to detain someone over a traffic violation — they need independent reasonable suspicion of an immigration violation, and that has to come first, not get invented after the stop. DHS’s after-the-fact statement claims the stop was based on “reasonable suspicion or probable cause of federal law violations” — but doesn’t say what that violation was. WWL Louisiana asked twice. No answer either time. This is the pattern: pretext stop, pivot to citizenship, threaten a kid with removal before confirming anything. It only looks “routine” until you’re the one being asked to prove you belong in the country you were born in.

The BBC just documented five separate instances of massive, suspiciously timed trades preceding Trump’s biggest market-moving announcements — oil futures, the tariff pause, Maduro’s capture, Iran ceasefire bets. The platforms where anonymous accounts cashed in? Polymarket and Kalshi. Donald Trump Jr. sits on Polymarket’s advisory board and is a strategic advisor to Kalshi. There’s even a law against this. The STOCK Act (2012) explicitly covers executive branch officials. Zero prosecutions in 14 years. Oh, and the DOJ unit created after Watergate to prosecute exactly this kind of corruption? Trump cut it from 36 lawyers to 2 and stripped its authority to file new cases.

Those tankers everyone is celebrating aren’t coming here for crude oil. They’re coming for diesel, jet fuel, and gasoline — refined products — and that distinction is everything. US distillate inventories dropped another 2.1 million barrels just last week. They’re already 3% below the five-year average. We are not flush. We are depleted. Meanwhile US refined product exports hit 6.3 million barrels/day in January — up ~10% from a year ago, near record highs. Diesel led the increase. More going to Europe. Less staying here.

‼️BREAKING Migrants found dead at Krome Detention Center in Miami, due to possible starvation and dehydration. The facility, which was a detention facility prior to it being converted for ICE use, has a max capacity of 500. There are currently over 4000 detainees, and they do not have the supplies to feed and care for these people. A few days ago, this article came out about a video being shot within the detention center about the deplorable conditions there. Nothing was done. And earlier today, chief put this video out. Link:

Remember when MAGA got really upset because Saudi’s were buying land in Arizona and using it to grow alfalfa, which uses VAST AMOUNTS of water? I’ve watched this video three times. I don’t usually post MSNBC stuff, but this is spot on. Donald Trump has lost. He knows it. Because there’s one thing in this country that you cannot stop - American grit. From Maya Angelou to John Wayne, this country has proven time and again that we are unbreakable. We pride ourselves on it. It’s what makes America America. We have been through hell in this baby country. We are the redheaded stepchildren of the world (some more than others, MAGA) and yet we strive forward loudly, and proudly American. You will not take that from us no matter what you do. Your time is coming to an end. That’s why the escalation is happening in California. You picked the wrong state, the wrong people, the wrong country. This is the United States of America.
