Discovered there is a "Trail controller" that works WAAAAY nicer than AnimDynamics or KawaiiPhysics for tails. Sure wish this didn't take hours of googling and going through dozens of forum posts to find out it exists

I always thought stretching specular was more complex. Turns out you can just transform the halfvector into tangent space and scale it? Or camera space? How easy

Realized I can hijack my custom shader models rimlight input to shadowmask whatever I want. Previously was just inputting a single value for "rimlight intensity" across the entire model, and realized I could use a TEXTURE for an input ... gunna use this to better mask glitters!!!

Foggy. Trying to figure out if/how to get noticable fog/light shafts without having the fog wash out the scene with a white haze. Can't seem to find a middle ground I'm happy with. Getting there though... #gamedev #unrealengine #gameart
