Elon Musk ex-wife Talulah Riley once told a warm story about Elon on Obama's inauguration. "What I remember most is that Elon had not packed appropriately. It started snowing, and he had to borrow the driver's coat and hat because otherwise he would have frozen to death. At that point, I said, “Should I just pack for you whenever we go on trips?” He replied, “Okay, that's probably a good idea.”

This is why I love Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, who just admitted he was wrong about his competitor Anthropic and said even my worst enemies can attack me on this platform. "A major failure mode is when the ego-to-ability ratio becomes far greater than one. If your ego gets too high relative to your ability, you break the feedback loop with reality. In AI terms, you break your reinforcement learning loop. You want a strong learning loop, which means taking responsibility, minimizing ego, and doing whatever task needs to be done, whether it is grand or humble." We always joke that Elon is always right, but he maintains a low ego-to-ability ratio so he can keep a good feedback loop with reality.

Former SpaceX Head of Talent : I think Elon is smarter than Einstein. "One way we explained the SpaceX culture, in order to be honest with people, was this: SpaceX is like special forces. We take on missions that others consider impossible. This will be the hardest thing you ever do in your life. It attracts the kind of personality that wants to be a Navy SEAL, but in engineering. It will be bruising, punishing, and uncomfortable every day. Growth is not comfortable. If you are comfortable, you are probably not growing. To work for Elon is to be comfortable living in a constant state of discomfort. He has 10,000 times more going through his brain than the average person at any given moment. Our ability to think about and analyze a problem is nothing compared to how his brain works. Elon aspires to be the greatest engineer in the history of the world. He has the cognitive horsepower of the geniuses who came before us. But he is not Einstein, is he? I think he is smarter than Einstein."

Elon Musk ex-wife Talulah Riley - Elon is the most emotional person I know. "He has a kind of innocence to him. What I mean is that he feels whatever emotion he is experiencing with incredible purity. Whatever the emotion is, he feels it very deeply. I have heard people say he is cold and emotionless, and that could not be further from the truth. He is the most emotional person I know. One thing I remember from very early on is going to the cinema with him. We were watching a comedy, and Elon found the film so funny that he literally fell onto the floor, rolling around and holding his stomach while laughing. Everyone else in the cinema was looking at us like, “What is going on over there?” I was saying, “Come on, get up off the floor.” But he was completely absorbed by what was on screen. He was feeling it. He feels things deeply. If he feels anger, you know it. Whatever he feels, it goes deep."

Maye Musk on Elon's father "I was the science nerd at high school. I didn't really get many dates. I don't know if men, boys, rather, were scared of me or whatever, but I didn't have many dates, so I wouldn't date anybody who wasn't, if he wasn't as good at math and science as I was, and no one was. Although, my ex-husband was. He was better than me at math and science, and I hate to admit that, but that probably did help towards Elon being a genius."

Politicians always blame Elon Musk for being a trillionaire and ask him to do more good with his money. Here’s how Elon answered: “Well, I do do a lot of things philanthropically. Yes, you know, my companies are intended to do good for the future of humanity, with Tesla trying to accelerate the advent of sustainable transport and energy.” Ex-Tesla vice president on Elon Musk: “He gets up every morning thinking, what can I do for humanity today? How can I do something impactful for humanity in the future? That's what he's focused on.”

Old days Kobe Bryant talking about Elon Musk …He’ll always say the most important thing is imagination. So you can learn anything you want to learn. You can study all these things that you have in a book, but if you don’t have the imagination to take it to another level, it doesn’t mean anything…. RIP 🐐

Elon Musk on university degrees. “There’s no need to even have a college degree at all, or even high school. If someone graduates from a great university, that may be an indication they will be capable of great things, but it’s not necessarily the case. People like Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, or Steve Jobs didn’t graduate from college, but if you have a chance to hire them, of course it would be a good idea.”
