I’m out in New York for Tartan Week with the Scottish Affairs Committee. Great to be in a very sunny Bryant Park this afternoon enjoying outstanding performances including the St Columba's School, Kilmacolm pipe band.

I raised my concerns today that Presiding Officer is shielding Ministers from scrutiny by rejecting urgent questions. After I was reprimanded by the Presiding Officer she was greeted with applause from The SNP MSPs. I think that tells you everything you need to know… 👀

It seems the Scottish Government is suffering from some form of collective amnesia. How can the Lord Advocate seriously say she hadn't seen the March 2025 memo before answering questions last week? She sent it.

Today the SNP chose to waste Parliament's time with yet another independence debate. My message to John Swinney and the SNP was clear – you lost, get over it and let us all move on.

The Scottish Conservatives got rid of Humza Yousaf and saw off Nicola Sturgeon. On July 4th, we've got an opportunity to make it a hat-trick against John Swinney.

Humza Yousaf's record in government has been one of repeated failure. In any other line of work, he would have been sacked, not promoted. Forget being SNP leader, why is he even still in government?

Yesterday the Scottish Greens got to choose the debates at Holyrood. Instead of focusing on matters the Scottish Government are responsible for, they debated American military policy. What a complete waste of Parliament’s time.

I'm not allowed to call the First Minister a liar in the Chamber, but on here I can. And worse than his lies is his complete refusal to say if three biological male murderers are male. His refusal to answer this simple question speaks volumes.

On behalf of the @scottories I am lodging a vote of no confidence in Humza Yousaf. It’s the beginning of the end for this weak First Minister, and high time to bring this chaotic chapter to its sorry conclusion.

Parliament's Chief Exec has confirmed he discussed my request for a meeting with the PO last Thursday – therefore it's not true for Alison Johnstone to say she was unaware. A member who makes an incorrect statement must correct the record. I believe this also applies to the PO.

I submitted 3 urgent questions and an FMQ this week to challenge the SNP on their belief male-bodied prisoners should be housed in female prisons. All were rejected by Alison Johnstone which leads people to question why she’s shielding ministers from scrutiny on this important issue.

This is on John Swinney and his The SNP government. They were repeatedly warned of the risks, but continued to house dangerous men alongside female prisoners.

If the SNP think they can get away with hiding the truth from the public, they can think again. Massive questions have now been raised about why both the First Minister and Lord Advocate kept an earlier memo secret when asked about the subject last week. I won't let this go.

I asked a simple question: under the SNP's new guidance, could a biological male use girls' toilets in Scottish schools? The SNP education minister refused to give a clear answer👇🏻

Women had every right to gather outside the Scottish Parliament without disruption. The failure to act against one man’s behaviour is unacceptable. For Women Scotland are owed an apology.

Today the SNP voted down Scottish Conservatives attempts to get a statement on the situation at NHS Fife. The Presiding Officer has refused every single question seeking to get answers from the SNP. How can she say there are opportunities to get answers, when every question is rejected?

Humza Yousaf was made aware Michael Matheson had lied to the press over his data usage on Tuesday. Yesterday he told journalists he had “absolute and full confidence” in the Health Secretary. It’s not only Michael Matheson but Humza Yousaf who has serious questions to answer👇
