Getting a lot of comments like this lately. Fortunately it's easy to ignore random Internet dudes. Here's deadlifts at an "embarrassing" 295lbs Reduced weight a bit to focus on "pushing the floor away" rather than yanking the bar. Try to be a little better every day.

Finally hit 172.5 for 3x5 on the bench. A mental victory. I failed this weight twice already. Knew I could do it after the second set. Few things I focused on this time. - Changed grip to get bar low on palm - Fixed gaze on the ceiling - Chest up Feeling strong

Wife and I took the day off and went to the gym this morning. 3x5 squats at 240lbs. I don't have great records from a 5x5 program I did several years ago. But this may be the most I've ever squated. Last set here. Apparently I can't count. Did 6. We'll call it a 6 rep PR

Another attempt at 120lbs overhead press for 3x5. Another failure to complete the prescribed workout. Failed the second set after 4. Same with the third While I didn't quite make it, I'm happier with my form compared to a few days ago. Resetting down to 105 next workout.

300lbs deadlifts from yesterday. These reps suck. Especially that last one. Better than they were a month ago, maybe, but they still suck. I kept trying to improve my form at this weight, but it's time to admit I need to go way down. Deadlift is not the lift to be greedy on.

Another week another Overhead Press PR 3x5 105lbs. This was the final set. Not much time between work and getting home for trick or treating today. But we something is always better than nothing. Gotta fit in what we can when we can. Get a little better every day.

Failed the last rep of 3x5 bench at 182lbs yesterday. So very close. Slowing down the progression on bench and adding a little extra volume in the form of close grip bench press. 2026 goal is to do this for 225lbs at least. What are your weight lifting goals for the year?
