The BJP and its ecosystem spread the false “$21 million USAID funds” narrative to distract from their own history of using foreign funds to destabilize Congress governments. The RSS-BJP has a long record of foreign interference, including alleged CIA support during the Emergency, U.S. praise for JP’s anti-Indira movement, and collaboration with USAID for projects like Swachh Bharat, digital payments, and healthcare. BJP leaders, including Smriti Irani and Piyush Goyal, have actively engaged with USAID, while Modi ji himself met USAID officials multiple times. The BJP government sought U.S. COVID-19 aid and worked with USAID on Maharashtra and Delhi projects. Even Modi ji, before becoming Gujarat CM, visited the U.S. in 1993 through a USAID-linked program. The BJP demonizes USAID publicly while secretly benefiting from it. The Congress demands a White Paper to expose the BJP’s duplicity in misleading the nation.
