The centre of typhoon Bavi is about 24hrs from Ishigaki. The storm has weakened considerably from its peak due to dry air but it’s very large system. We’re already well inside the circulation with gusty winds blowing across the island

Immense waves smashing into the north shore of Okinawa at Cape Hedo ahead of typhoon Dolphin - you can’t hear much of what I’m saying but you get the gist. Filmed from a safe location I’ve been to many times during typhoons

I busted out the big camera for #typhoon #Dolphin - I feel it’s been a long time since it had a proper workout and it certainly got one. As much as I love shooting with the iPhone it’ll never catch the true sound of a typhoon - audio up!
