Here's a lengthy showcase of the fully dynamic sound systems across Hyperion. They do not use devices at all and use the same systems Epic uses on their maps. They support full air absorption, falloff, occlusion. Every river, tree, glacier, makes relevant sounds. Most of it, using nodes to randomize frequencies, patterns, pitches, effects, so nothing ever truly sounds the same or repetitive. (The sounds are not all THIS loud in-game. The editor makes them louder here than they seem) Also do not ask here directly how to access this audio system, its technically whitelisted in UEFN, meaning its allowed, but its not "exposed" to the end user directly, likely because Epic's UEFN team isn't aware or they don't care.
