This experience was disappointing and honestly worrying. Emergency response is not something any city should take lightly. In critical moments, every second matters. A functional and reliable emergency system saves lives, reduces traffic chaos, and gives people confidence that help will come when needed. Lagos is growing fast, and our emergency response system must grow with it. We need faster response times, better coordination, more equipment, and more accountability. We can do better. And we should. #accident #lagosnigeria #emergencies

“Where roads go, development follows.” - @seyi_amakinde The Ibadan Circular Road stands as one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in Southwest Nigeria, set to redefine the growth of Ibadan. This is a gateway to endless opportunities. The scale is massive, and the future it promises is even bigger. Position yourself wisely. #ibadancircularroad #nigeria #ibadan

The US Embassy reached out to me to show some of their citizens who just arrived in Lagos around the city, and as someone who truly loves Lagos, I was excited to say yes. They wanted an experience that combined adventure, nature, arts, and culture, so I took them to the Lekki Conservation Centre, home to the longest canopy walkway in Africa. Walking high above the forest while surrounded by nature was such an exciting experience for them. After that, we headed to the Lekki Arts and Crafts Market, the largest art market in West Africa, where they got to experience the beauty of African culture through paintings, sculptures, beads, masks, woodwork, and handmade crafts. They were so fascinated by the creativity and even bought a few souvenirs to take home. Later in the day, we stopped by Pitstop Lagos to relax, have some cold Heineken, refresh, and enjoy the atmosphere before I finally drove them back to their hotel. Experiences like this always remind me how beautiful Lagos truly is. Beyond the traffic and the hustle, Lagos is filled with culture, energy, creativity, nature, and amazing people. And I’ll always be happy to show the beauty of this city to anyone willing to experience it.

No billboard, no investment summit, no tourism campaign can compete with what people see with their own eyes the moment they land. A dirty airport road tells visitors wrongly that Lagos is chaotic, unserious, and careless with its environment. The painful part is that this problem is AVOIDABLE. Airport Road should be one of the most protected, most maintained corridors in the state. Illegal dumping should be impossible there. Waste management should be airtight. Monitoring should be constant. If we want to be taken seriously on the global stage, then the basics must be respected. You don’t welcome guests through a dirty front door. The question is simple: If we cannot keep the road that welcomes the world into Lagos clean, what message are we truly sending about who we are? Keep Lagos State Clean #environment #cleancity

Lagos is Nigeria’s commercial capital and one of Africa’s most influential cities. Yet, it does not currently have a fully functioning stadium. How can I explain this? The National Stadium, once a symbol of national pride, has been left to deteriorate over decades. Facilities that once hosted continental and global events are now largely unusable. Teslim Balogun Stadium, though renovated in the past, suffers from inconsistent upkeep, limited access for athletes, and declining facility standards. A city of over 20 million people should not rely on makeshift fields and private facilities to sustain its sporting ecosystem. Sports are not just entertainment. They are tools for youth development, public health, job creation, tourism, and national identity. Neglecting sports infrastructure sends a message that these values are not a priority. This is not about assigning blame, but about asking important questions: 1. Why can’t existing stadiums be sustainably maintained? 2. Who is responsible for their day-to-day management? 3. Why does a global city like Lagos lack a single fully functional, world-class public stadium? #nigeria #infrastructures #nationalstadium

We are in Onitsha, home to one of the largest markets in West Africa, and a major commercial hub in the Southeast. But today, we weren’t here to buy or sell. We came for the experience. Using the Second Niger Bridge for the first time on a bike? It’s a moment I won’t forget. The structure is massive. Elegant. Strong. But more than its engineering beauty, it's what it represents that matters. For years, the old Opiweka bridge known simply as the Niger Bridge was the only connection between the East and other parts of the country. And if you know anything about holiday season traffic or cross-country movement, you know how choked that bridge could get. But this new bridge changes everything. Riding across it was smooth. No bottleneck. No unnecessary hold-up. Just wide open space and an impressive view of the great River Niger. You could feel the calm that comes from improved infrastructure. The ease of movement. The relief for commuters and transporters. The journey continues. Next stop: Asaba - Benin. I hope the road is good. Let’s ride. #benin #asaba #expressway #infrastructure #roadtrip #nigeria #landscape

Ikoyi is known as one of the richest and most exclusive neighbourhoods in Nigeria. It has luxury homes, big offices, and high property values. But the environment tells a different story. There are open drainage channels along the roads. Many gutters are filled with dirt, stagnant water, and waste. In some places, the smell from these drains is strong and unpleasant. This leads to an important question: If Ikoyi one of the wealthiest areas in the country, can have open drains, dirty gutters, and bad odour, what would we find in places with fewer resources like Okokomaiko, Sangotedo, or Ikotun? Clean and well-maintained drainage is not about luxury. It is about health, safety, and proper city management. #ikoyi #environment #lagosstate

Riding my bike through Oyo State feels different these days. The roads are smoother. The ride is faster. The journey is safer. Oyo is building advanced roads across the state even rural access roads are getting a facelift. And it’s not just the roads… Ibadan airport is leveling up From local ✈️ to international 🌍 Dualised access roads are done, Bigger plans for terminals, customs & facilities are in motion. This is more than infrastructure. It’s connection. It’s opportunity. It’s progress. #oyostate #infrastrutture #nigeria #progress

I visited Agege and I was impressed by the work Abdulganiyu Vinod Obasa is doing. In just a few months in office, the transformation in Agege is already visible. Leadership is showing. And the people can feel it. A renewed sense of direction. This is about impact not politics. When governance works at the local level, everyday life improves. Movement becomes easier. The environment feels safer. Communities feel seen. If this level of progress is possible in Agege, then it is possible anywhere. Local Governments have been empowered. Resources exist. Authority exists. So if meaningful development is still missing in your area…ask questions. Demand accountability. Hold leadership responsible. Because good governance should not be a miracle, it should be normal. #agege #lagosnigeria🇳🇬 #development

When BAT emphasized the importance of holding local governments accountable, it reinforced a core principle of grassroots governance development must be visible, measurable, and felt by the people. Today, the change in Agege is not just something you see, it’s something the people feel and live every day. The roads are better, the environment is cleaner, and there’s a clear sense of progress in the air. This is what governance should look like real impact, close to the people. The residents can tell the story themselves. Agege is rising, and it’s showing. As someone who truly appreciates development and infrastructure, I’ll never get tired of telling this story. If you do good we go praise you. Kudos to Abdulganiyu Vinod Obasa for delivering visible results to the people. #agege #lagoslga #infrastructure

We just arrived in Lagos and took a ride on the iconic Third Mainland Bridge. The speed limit here is clearly displayed, but do motorists really obey it? 🤔 In this video, I run a simple experiment riding at exactly 78 km/h, 2k below the official speed limit, while filming my speedometer to see how many vehicles will overtake me. The results raise important questions about road safety, traffic discipline, and law enforcement on one of Africa’s busiest bridges. Shouldn’t there be cameras and stricter monitoring to ensure compliance? #lagostraffic #thirdmainlandbridge #lagosnigeria #ekoonibaje

Magodo is one of those places in Lagos that doesn’t shout. It doesn’t trend every weekend. It doesn’t need to prove anything. It's not a tourist destination. It’s not a party zone. It’s not trying to be like Lekki. Magodo is for people who want Lagos to slow down when they get home. And in a city that never rests, that alone makes it special. Lekki or Magodo which one would you prefer? #magodo #lagosontwowheels #lagosnigeria

We rode from Owerri in Imo State to Umuahia in Abia State through the Mbaise–Obowo road, and I was truly impressed by the quality of infrastructure along the way. The roads in Imo State have greatly improved, making travel easier and more enjoyable for everyone. And as I entered Abia State, I could see ongoing road construction from the boundary to the iconic Umuahia Tower — clear signs of progress. This ride is part of a bigger mission — I’ll be visiting different states across Nigeria that are making real progress in infrastructure and governance. I want to shine a light on the good things happening in our country, because when states perform well, Nigeria wins. If you know any state where the government is working and infrastructure is improving, please recommend it in the comments. I’ll gladly come and document the progress. Let’s support good governance, celebrate positive change, and inspire every state to do better. Together, we can build the Nigeria of our dreams. #nigeriasising #showcasingnigeria #nigeria #imostate #goodgovernance #visitnigeria

Took my friends beyond the Lagos Island to experience the real city. From Agege’s iconic mural walls and fresh Agege bread, to the vibes at New Afrika Shrine where Made Kuti was rehearsing live, it was pure magic. We wrapped up with amala & ewedu, then hit the streets at night for suya, markets, and that authentic Lagos energy. They came with one idea of Lagos… but left seeing a vibrant, warm, and beautiful city full of life. Mainland Lagos is different and it has so much to offer. Tomorrow: Epe. Who’s joining? #lagosexperience #lagosnigeria #agege #fela

Agege surprised me. Many people still picture the old Agege, crowded, noisy, overwhelming. But riding here I am honestly blown away. Something is clearly changing. You can see real effort in the environment. The roads feel more organized. Most drainage channels are cleaner and clearer. Sidewalks and traffic flow show signs of planning. Not perfect. But intentional. And then the biggest surprise. Trees. Yes, trees. Intentional tree planting is quietly transforming the look and feel of Agege. There is also a noticeable push for environmental awareness. Cleanliness campaigns. Sensitization. The changes may not be loud. They may not be flashy. But they are meaningful. I can’t wait to tell the full story. #agege #lagosnigeria

I love stories of transformation. I remember how terrible this Port Harcourt road used to be for years, I even documented it back then. And now that things have improved, it’s just as important to show the progress, not only the problems. Well done, Imo State. Keep it up. Next stop: Port Harcourt #imostate #infrastructure #owerri #portharcourt

Following my recent observations riding across parts of Lagos State, I notice a resurgence of commercial motorcycles “Okada” operating in restricted and high-value urban zones, including Ikoyi. More concerning is that, as seen in the video, some of the primary violators appear to be individuals linked to law enforcement, riding or enabling these operations with impunity. This resurgence has raised two key concerns: Increased road safety risks from overspeeding and wrong-way riding and poor compliance with traffic regulations. This also creates three major issues: • Laws lose credibility when enforcers violate them • Public compliance collapses when rules are selectively applied • Urban order suffers when enforcement becomes informal When those tasked with upholding the law are seen breaking it, the problem is no longer Okada, it is regulation, safety, and urban order. #okada #ikoyi #lagosnigeria🇳🇬
