I want to talk about Gayatri Prasad Prajapati for a second because this story needs to be told every time SP opens its mouth about women. He was not a fringe figure. He was a cabinet minister. Mining minister in the SP government. He used his official government residence to gang rape a woman and her minor daughter. He filmed it. He threatened them. When they went to the police, nothing happened. The Supreme Court of India had to personally order that an FIR be registered. Life imprisonment. That was the outcome. And this party wants more time to "deliberate" on a bill that gives women political power. Think about that. #mahilavirodhisamajwadi

‘18 year old die after taking pills to delay her period for a puja’ - reminds me of my mom; she took pills to delay her periods for a Puja and apparently it never came back. The doctor said she had attained ‘menopause’. Don’t know where to begin-the regressive society that doesn’t allow menstruating women into temples or the parents that conform to it. No words truly.
