IKEA has installed 1M+ solar panels, owns 49 wind farms and 26 solar parks, and now matches 94.8% of its electricity use with renewables. A furniture retailer has become one of the world's largest corporate renewable energy investors. The transition is bigger than utilities. Ingka Group (the company that runs most IKEA stores worldwide) has already invested €4.3 billion into renewable energy and plans to lift that to €7.5 billion by 2030. Its wind and solar assets already generate enough electricity to match the annual consumption of more than 1.47 million European households, while rooftop solar continues rolling out across IKEA stores and warehouses worldwide. This is what mainstream disruption looks like. Companies aren't waiting for governments or utilities to lead. They're investing billions because renewables increasingly offer the lowest-cost path to long-term energy security and resilience. Furniture retailer? More like a clean energy company that happens to sell flat-pack furniture.

Congrats to the Tesla team. This is a watershed moment for freight in America. $0.15/mile EV vs ~$0.50 diesel ($0.60+ when diesel spikes) Operating costs are the hero. Once fleets see it at scale and production ramps, sales will rocket. EV trucks will take over the roads. Extended POV: This isn’t about specs. It’s about economics under utilisation. Freight is brutal: high miles, heavy loads, tight margins. That’s exactly where EVs dominate. Core specs that matter: • Range: 325–500 miles (523–805 km) • Gross combination weight: up to ~82,000 lbs (37 t) • Energy use: ~1.7 kWh/mile fully loaded • Battery: ~600–900 kWh est • Motors: 3 independent rear motors Charging flips the model: • Megawatt charging (MCS) capable • ~60–70% in ~30 mins • ~400 miles recovered in a stop (real-world target) • Depot charging overnight = lowest cost energy Now the key part: At ~1.7 kWh/mile → $0.15/mile assumes ~$0.09/kWh depot energy Diesel: → ~6–7 mpg → $3–4/gal = ~$0.45–0.70/mile That gap is everything. And fleets scale that instantly. Then layer in: • near-zero idling losses • far less maintenance (no engine, gearbox, exhaust systems) • regenerative braking reducing wear • higher uptime And the system gets even stronger: → solar + battery depots pushing energy cost toward zero → load balancing across fleets → software routing + charging optimisation → predictable operating costs vs oil volatility This isn’t a truck upgrade. It’s a system rewrite. Diesel = fuel logistics Electric = energy + software Fleets don’t buy hype. They buy cost per mile. Once they hit scale production, it won’t be gradual. Fleet is where the system flips. ⚡🚛

China deployed 100 fully autonomous electric mining trucks (mid-2025)… each running ~500–570 kWh batteries. That’s ~10× a Model Y. In -40°C. Swapping in minutes. Scaling to 10,000+ by 2026. This is the industrialisation of #Bettrification. Diesel doesn’t stand a chance.⚡🔋

Check out this footage of an #EV truck overtaking the usual suspects dragging their heels up a steep grade, slowing traffic and winding everyone up. Fully loaded Tesla Semi, but it could just as easily be Windrose, BYD or Volvo. No shifts. No lag. Just torque. Cost always wins.

Here’s the world’s 2nd largest solar farm: Bhadla Solar Park 🇮🇳 ~2.25 GW ~56 km² ~10M panels ~1.4M homes powered Built fast. Fully operational. Massive scale. India isn’t slowing down—it’s scaling up. Solar isn’t limited by tech—only by will. ⚡ #Solar #Bettrification #BESS

Midong Solar (Xinjiang) is now fully operational — the largest single solar installation in the world. ~3.5 GW ~6–6.5 TWh/year ~2 million homes Not a prototype. Not a pilot. A template—replicated at scale. China is laying down the blueprint. ⚡#Bettrification #Solar #BESS #LFP
