John Ricchio (an ex-Rockstar producer who worked on RDR1, Max Payne 3 and GTA 5) has spoken about his experience working with Sam and Dan Houser on Reece “Kiwi Talkz” Reilly’s podcast. He offers some VERY interesting insight into the both of them. The biggest takeaway for me is that seems as if Sam Houser really, REALLY cares about the quality of their games. This shouldn’t really be a surprise, but it’s awesome to hear just how passionate he truly is about them. He lists Rockstar’s Table Tennis as an example of this. Apparently that game was “his baby” and is largely why it turned out so good. THIS is why GTA 6 has taken so long. It’s been said over and over again, but Rockstar really does seek perfection, and it’s really cool to hear that Sam Houser’s passion for gaming is a big part of why that’s the case.

Roger Clark has stated in an interview with Cade Onder that he has never met or spoken to Sam Houser, and that he actually only ever spoke to Dan Houser on two occasions across the 5 years that he worked on Red Dead Redemption 2. Dan Houser apparently wanted to separate Arthur from Roger in his mind. I love hearing these behind-the-scenes tidbits and I also adore hearing about different people’s creative processes. Every individual is so unique, and it’s awesome to hear a little bit more about what went into creating Red Dead Redemption 2 and how Rockstar functions. Awesome video by the GOAT Cade Onder Rod Edge was the person who would direct the cast on set. It’s likely that this is the case for GTA 6 too. Man, I can’t wait to hear about the game’s production after it comes out.

How Strauss Zelnick felt delaying GTA 6 after telling everybody that they were confident

Came across this disgusting video on TikTok of some strange individuals camping outside of Rockstar North to ask developers about a GTA 6 delay/new trailer. If you’re waiting outside of somebody’s workplace to harass employees over a video game give your head a wobble.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick explains their marketing strategy for GTA 6. “We found that the better thing to do is provide marketing materials relatively close to the release window.” And people wonder why we haven’t had Trailer 2 yet. We’re still 7 months away from launch.

I have to post about this because outlets like Insider Gaming & Kotaku refuse to do the slightest bit of research into the articles that they churn out. This recent GTA 6 ‘leak’ that has surfaced on Instagram over the past day is completely fake. — The bridge in the background literally does not exist in the game. We’ve seen this location a few times in both Trailers. It’s wrong. It’s also very convenient that this clip just so happens to be in a location we have tons of information on already. — The font in the dev text box on the bottom is incorrect and doesn’t match the 2022 leaked clips. — The user who originally posted it to Instagram created an alt account specifically made to try and spread the clip. Very suspicious. — The camera movement is suspicious. In every leaked clip (even ones from 2022, like this fake one says it’s from), the camera is smooth and functions properly. The same can’t be said for this clip. Why? Because if the camera moved a little bit more to the side you’d probably see where their recreation of the area ends. Overall this leak is 100% fake, and anybody reporting on it as real is simply incorrect. I admit it’s definitely a well made fake and somebody clearly put some effort into it, but I assure you it’s not real.

Modder DeadpoolMKD has announced a project that brings Carcer City to GTA San Andreas. For those unaware, Carcer City was the setting of Manhunt and is Rockstar’s equivalent to Detroit. This looks really, really well done. The demo launches on March 9th. Very exciting!

Did you know that Timothée Chalamet is a big Rockstar Games fan? Because I didn’t. This dude knows ball. He lists LA Noire and Red Dead Redemption as his favourite video games of all time (clip is a bit dated now but the point stands). Congrats on the Golden Globe king.

Steven Ogg has once again made his stance on Trevor from GTA 5 clear. He does NOT hate GTA and he thinks that Trevor is a fantastic character. This subject really needs to be put to bed. If he resented Rockstar or Trevor, he wouldn’t still do comic con panels with the trio.
