Work has commenced on the reconstruction of failed drainage along Old Lagos-Abeokuta Road, a critical first step before the full rehabilitation of several sections of the road. While this is a federal road, we have taken swift local action to address the immediate challenges, reducing travel time, preventing further deterioration, and supporting the daily movement of residents and businesses. Real impact starts with timely intervention. #agege #avo #avoisworking #anewagegeisrising

Introducing the Agege Residents Card : A structured approach to better serve our people and deliver targeted impact. This initiative is designed to identify and register actual residents of Agege, ensuring that government interventions reach those they are meant for. With a clear classification system: 🔴 Red: Persons with disabilities 🟡 Yellow: Poor and vulnerable 🔵 Blue: General residents We are able to differentiate beneficiaries, improve planning, and deliver more effective economic empowerment programmes. The Residents Card will also provide access to welfare support, health services, drug relief funding, and other community benefits, while strengthening our data systems for better decision-making. Looking ahead, it will support initiatives like subsidised green transportation on key routes, ensuring inclusive and affordable mobility for our people. This is about structure, accountability, and making sure no one who truly needs support is left behind. #agege #avo #avoisworking #anewagegeisrising

I met with the Heads of Nursery and Primary Schools across Agege to review progress and strengthen our shared commitment to quality education. So far, we have renovated 17 schools, established 5 school libraries, and delivered essential learning tools, including 1,800 twin desks, 400 ECC furniture, 72 teacher furniture, and 92 marker boards. We are also in the process of procuring 75 computers to expand digital learning. Beyond infrastructure, we are investing in people and safety, with the recruitment of 50 primary school teachers and school support staff, deployment of security personnel, and ongoing plans to install CCTV systems in schools. We’ve also improved learning environments with 2 seven-aside pitches and connected 5 school compounds to the power grid. Our discussions focused on improving the quality of education, increasing school maintenance support, expanding facilities, and ensuring inclusive learning for special needs students alongside skill acquisition opportunities. Education remains a top priority, because the future of Agege is sitting in our classrooms today. #agege #avo #avoisworking #anewagegeisrising

We have commenced the clearing of the railway corridor in partnership with the Lagos State Government as part of our commitment to a cleaner Agege. It is important to note that the railway corridor falls under the responsibility of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), not the Local Government. However, in the interest of public health, safety, and environmental cleanliness, we are taking proactive steps to support the clean-up. This week alone, three large waste bins were evacuated from the corridor. Clearing such a space requires time, coordination, and significant logistics, and we appreciate the patience and cooperation of residents as work continues. Together, we will achieve a cleaner and healthier Agege. #agege #avo #avoisworking #anewagegeisrising

Grateful for this partnership, Hon. Commissioner. We’ve already begun implementing the agreed action points here in Agege, from strengthened waste enforcement to clearing major drainages and expanding our green projects. Our goal is simple: a cleaner, flood-free, and sustainable Agege that contributes meaningfully to a greater Lagos. #agege #avo #cleaneragege

Sworn in. Confirmed. Not because of a surname, but because Agege deserves leadership that shows up, listens, and works. I didn’t come to manage expectations. I came to change standards. Judge me loudly. But judge me by outcomes, not origin stories. Grateful to Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the trust placed in me and for his continued drive to make local governance more effective across Lagos State.

Yesterday, I welcomed music producer Dappa as we discussed rebranding Agege into a thriving home for creatives, talent groomers, and skilled youths. We inspected ongoing projects together, with particular focus on the local government music studio, proposed to operate as a podcast and music studio at subsidised rates. His readiness to collaborate with our administration reflects our shared vision of positioning Agege as a hub for creativity and opportunity. #agege #avo #anewagegeisrising #avoisworking

Today spoke louder than any argument. This initiative was planned for 4,000 residents, yet far more people turned up across the wards. That alone tells the real story. If this wasn’t a need, people would not have come out in such numbers, patiently and willingly. You don’t measure need from a distance. You see it on the ground, in the turnout, in the faces, in the gratitude. For many families, this wasn’t “just 3kg of gas”; it was relief, and a few less worries in their daily lives. That is why we do what we do. We listen. We respond. And we stay committed to meeting the actual needs of the people, not imagined ones. The mandate remains clear: people first, always. #agege #avo #avoisworking #anewagegeisrising

Yesterday, I witnessed the Budget Presentation by Mr. Governor to the Lagos State House of Assembly. This year’s ₦4.2 trillion budget reflects ambition, resilience, and intentional leadership, with 52% dedicated to capital projects and 48% to recurrent expenditure. For us in Agege, this budget means real progress: better roads, upgraded schools, improved hospitals, SME support, stronger security, and renewed agricultural initiatives. A greater Lagos is rising, and Agege will feel the impact. #agege #avo
