I’m not even sure where to begin with all my thoughts. Watched Oregon O vs Ohio St D Ohio State’s is freaking good. We won’t see a defense like this the rest of the season. They got guys flying around the field. Those DTs are nearly unblockable. Run game was a grind. Outside zone runs + light box zone worked. Everything else did not. Our play calling + pass protection + Gabriel was elite. We broke a ton of tendencies. Most notably throwing the ball short. We just haven’t needed to throw it deep yet and they saved it for last night. Here’s a good example. It’s 3rd and 9. Look at all the OSU defenders between the ball and the first down marker? So we send two guys deep and both are open. TD

Making my way through the Seattle film and this 17 yard carry by Walker shows the best of a run game. Walker is patient and setting up his blocks. All the Seattle OL are straining to finish. These aren't perfect blocks but their effort allows Walker to pick the best rushing lane and get up the field. Just lovely.

Rewatching the game again for my Ducks Rising breakdown. Few things … I think the offense is missing some easy completions and other options for offense. However hard to do much with OL + QB play we saw on Saturday. The last two plays are fascinating. Thomas slings it which I appreciate. He knows where he’s going with the ball asap. Moore is open and the ball is just a tad long. This is completed and Oregon has a manageable FG attempt. The next play … it’s intended for Johnson. Maybe a tad behind but gets tipped by Moore (I think) running across the field. This would be a LONG FG opportunity to win the game. There was also time for a quick throw to the sidelines to gain a few more yards.

Yo NFL. We have to do better on this snatch trap/splash “holding” calls. It’s just not holding. This is one of the cleaner splash technique executions. If you don’t see the entire block you shouldn’t flag the end result. It’s bad. Please stop.

This Kenneth Walker 76 yard run was probably the best blocked outside zone I've seen from the Chiefs in years. Dare I say since 2013 (😂) Raiders in nickel to the Chiefs 13 personnel and seem a man short in the box to defend this. 🥄

The 4th down play … ppl are discussing the wrong topic. The question is why did Allen get fooled with this Chiefs defensive alignment. 3 defenders into the boundary to “cover” 1 offensive option vs 4 for 4 to the field. 🚩🚩 should have gone up for boundary pressure.

Small sampling of Blake Miller last night. Pass pro looked clean. Moved feet well. Good strikes. Mixed up pass sets which I loved. Outside hand got him in trouble late. Sustaining movement in the run game was a struggle early. Started to figure out later in the game. Had a nice finish in the last clip. The thing I take away most is that he looked like he belonged. Sharp mentally as well. Handled some twists and movement well.
