Rewatching the game again for my Ducks Rising breakdown. Few things … I think the offense is missing some easy completions and other options for offense. However hard to do much with OL + QB play we saw on Saturday. The last two plays are fascinating. Thomas slings it which I appreciate. He knows where he’s going with the ball asap. Moore is open and the ball is just a tad long. This is completed and Oregon has a manageable FG attempt. The next play … it’s intended for Johnson. Maybe a tad behind but gets tipped by Moore (I think) running across the field. This would be a LONG FG opportunity to win the game. There was also time for a quick throw to the sidelines to gain a few more yards.

The 4th down play … ppl are discussing the wrong topic. The question is why did Allen get fooled with this Chiefs defensive alignment. 3 defenders into the boundary to “cover” 1 offensive option vs 4 for 4 to the field. 🚩🚩 should have gone up for boundary pressure.

Dan Lanning is a psycho in the best way possible for Oregon.

Small sampling of Blake Miller last night. Pass pro looked clean. Moved feet well. Good strikes. Mixed up pass sets which I loved. Outside hand got him in trouble late. Sustaining movement in the run game was a struggle early. Started to figure out later in the game. Had a nice finish in the last clip. The thing I take away most is that he looked like he belonged. Sharp mentally as well. Handled some twists and movement well.

Look at all the ways the 49ers used TE/FB (U) motion to run the football last night. -balanced formation. U motion to run mid zone weak with an insert -Wing formation with U motion to run mid zone weak with a Y slide to block the DE -Wing formation, shift to balanced, U motion into I think Duo with TE going thru and U on DE -balanced formation. U motion to run Duo again -balanced formation. Y motion to run toss crack -shift into wing, U motion into strong toss -balanced formation. U motion into split zone (This one doesn't look right. Curious if this is correct) -Balanced formation. U motion to run something blocked like Duo (I think) but Y is coming from the other side to insert. U on the DE
