I have seen several comments on this news article suggesting that the Government will arbitrarily target or take your SACCO Savings to build infrastructure. Basically, ignorant, and sentiments almost obviously from people who either don’t have savings anywhere or don’t understand how SACCO’s, and generally financial institutions work, or just political contractors kama wale wa reject Finance Bill for nonexistent clauses. On the contrary, this is actually a big win for savers who will earn interests or dividends on revenue projects like PPPs. Would you apply the same logic on money you save in your bank account? Like, “Hii pesa yangu nimesave hapa, msijaribu kuguza…” 😅 In the same breath, why don’t we have a problem with buying government bonds and treasury bills? The loans we take from China are from citizen/public savings, and workers pensions. Closer home, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is funding the Rironi-Mau Summit highway project in a joint Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreement with CRBC. CPF Pension Fund(former LAPTRUST), has been bidding to fund the proposed Mombasa-Nairobi Superhighway. Ignorance is already bad, but ignorance packaged as knowledge is a public hazard.

Came across this interesting byte by Big Tedd. Even though he has left out the details on why the rest were still sleeping(your guess is as good as mine😅), the message is home: that you can never beat a man who goes the extra mile, not yesterday, not today and definitely not tomorrow. In a political contest, William Ruto is still the man you can’t beat.

State House formally issued with a 14 day notice to demolish the encroaching boundary wall within the Kirichwa Kubwa River riparian land. The notice, was issued by Water Resources Authority(WRA) CEO Mohamed Moulid Shurie, in the company of Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, marking sections encroaching on the reserve to guide demolition. President William Ruto, last week stated that State House would fully comply with demolition orders.
