Remote training with an 8 year old from Texas 🤠: Worked with Richard Schenck, JFD PPP LQC TTE 🙂 new “Tilter” and “Propeller Bat” the day before his game and unlocked something he’s never felt before. Was struggling at first but ended off his lesson strong. Started to apply it the next day and almost hit two out. “Staying back” has always been a teaching cue for many years. To Rotate or To Tilt 📝 📝 Rotating around a spinal axis can feel very powerful. BUT it’s sluggish. The barrel doesn’t get up to speed until late. ❌ Tilt provides the direction and quickness early which leads to consistent power numbers. ✅ At Launch, you can see Judge’s head like a statue while the torso works more North/South (tilt) Why isn’t it Rotation? Barrel Path 👀 Rear Leg 👀 ✅ Watch the barrel path. It works like a clock. Starts at 12 and works down the back. Then contact at 6 o’clock and Out from. ✅ Watch the rear leg Pivot and provide the shift AT launch. ❌ Rotation creates a drag, then speed around and out front. Limits direction. Decreases your time. #gritnj

Been seeing this 12u player (along with others) in California every month: Last visit, he had a mini 💡 go off… He found a very controlled position and held it until he could launch. This allows less of a rush in his swing. Just watch how the rear arm wants to power the move at launch. In the After and Game swing, it’s not there. He’s connected, fused, and controlled throughout. This creates quickness. More time. Better swing decisions. Saw some results afterwards 👊 #gritnjfam #gritnj Alex Baeza
