BO7 - Rotational Aim Assist Nerf + Buff - 5m 🎮⚡️ Quick confirmation - 21st Nov brought a buff to the "minimum" RAA, a new concept in BO7, but still achieved by crossing the same basic thresholds from previous games - engaging left stick ~25% or right stick ~5%.

You might've seen clips like this in old CODs, but did you know "Aim Assist Occlusion" was this broken right up to BO4/Blackout? I didn't have to look for the examples - it's like this *everywhere*. IW get a lot of hate, but if they mostly fixed this, that's tippable, no? :)

BO7 Beta - Quick/Rough Check the "BO6 AA Nerf" is Present (Distances < ~5m) ✅ Rotation similar to BO6. MW3 and older are significantly stronger at this range.

At some point I have to assume some people either don't play, or lack visualisation skills, if they understand how AA works, but can't picture how it combines with decent aim. Based on experiences like below, I don't need a pixel-perfect replica to understand that JoeWo clip 🤷‍♂️

PC vs Console Aim Assist - No Difference ⌨️/🎮 (Mini Myth-Bust) Can't "prove a negative", so ball is back in the court of anyone wanting to claim a difference

"Aim Assist Doesn't Aim For You" 🗣️

Black Ops 6 Aim Assist Nerf vs MW III 🧐 Pt 1. Rotational Aim Assist - Hipfire. Tested in detail to determine the effective range of the BO6 nerf: (Will update this thread as I test more 🧵) 1/

Classic COD Aim Assist Snaps™ (2025)

Demo of the "3 Meter Nerf" against a moving player model (as opposed to training course). Includes ADS and Knife/Melee.

Aim Assist - Change of Tracking Direction - Very Simple Example ➡️⬅️ Common occurrence, but rare you get _gameplay_ clips that can't be hand-waved away otherwise. I got little chance to react here, but you can put 2+2 together & see they would not have "escaped" otherwise :)

COD: Black Ops (2010) [PS3] - Rotational Aim Assist 🎮⚡️

COD 4: Modern Warfare (2007) [PS3] Got a second PS3 recently to fullscreen test old CODs 😍😱

[Outtake] "AA Doesn't Aim For You" - Longer Range (MW3 2023) Just posting for reference - I'd meant to repeat this & better explain how "full kill without touching right stick" scenarios exist outside of point blank range, but never got round to it 🤷‍♂️

BO7 Beta - Couple of small "lag vs AA" moments 🏃‍♀️

BF6 - "Aim Assist Zoom Snap" - Curious why this is in settings, despite devs saying it was removed? 🚨🎮 Portal Servers can enable it, and the default is ON, so most likely have it enabled! Another incentive for controller players to use Portal for XP/levelling.

Good Qu - On this, a 3rd option to guarantee RAA is engaged is "just back away, at a slight angle" - often slept on 🔙✨ Sometimes less is more - especially if you just don't want to sweat every enemy's re-chall or wear out your stick by spinning it in circles 😅

[BUG] Controller players, avoid the right hand side of the Firing Range [Old & many prob know - posting for reference/report] Strafe right from middle, aiming at centre dummy. An invisible AA bubble will push you off-target Treyarch

Coincidentally my MW3 ebay copy arrived today, so since I'm firing it up, here's a very quick👀 Aim Assist's "brrr" status goes way back:
