This hearing sure did give us a lot to talk about today. In his opening statement, Senator Cassidy told a CDC nominee that anyone who questions whether vaccines cause autism is spreading misinformation. Then he spent the next two minutes unable to correctly name a disease outbreak he was citing as a public health emergency. "Study after study shows they do not cause autism," he said, presenting it as closed science. It isn't. We all know that. Cassidy also called it misinformation to question the hepatitis B birth dose, a policy that vaccinates newborns against a disease overwhelmingly transmitted through sexual contact or IV drug use, conditions that no newborn is in. This has been asked and answered. See: ACIP. The senator wants a CDC leader who won't tolerate "equivocation" on any of this. A senator asked Dr. Schwartz to respond directly to Aaron Siri, calling her "the queen of mandating vaccines" during her time at the Coast Guard. She never answered the question, instead offering talk of humility and of wanting to be "a CDC director for all Americans" rather than addressing her actual mandate record. Minutes later, the same senator asked her to confirm that the vitamin K shot is safe for newborns. She said yes, then called it "the vaccine" before catching herself mid-sentence. The senator blamed vaccine hesitancy for parents' refusal of vitamin K, citing no data linking the two. What she didn't mention is that the shot itself is a synthetic compound, often formulated with polyethylene glycol and polysorbate 80, and carrying an FDA black box warning for severe allergic reactions. Late-onset VKDB, the rare bleeding disorder the shot is meant to prevent, occurs in roughly 1 in 15,000 to 20,000 births without supplementation. 🚨A MOLE? Dr. Robert Malone (Robert W Malone, MD) is revealing that Secretary Kennedy appointed someone to be operationally in charge of ACIP and several other aspects of the CDC who now appears to have been a saboteur. That is the backdrop to everything else happening inside the CDC right now. Malone describes the environment as guerrilla warfare. When Kennedy asked him to stay on, he said no. His assessment was direct: The CDC is not redeemable, and the people still entrenched inside are carrying the safe and effective narrative because many of them have culpability around the COVID crisis - including suppression of information and manipulation of data. As for why he stepped down entirely, Malone was equally plain. Aaron Siri opened his Kennedy Center address with a fact that stops most people cold: vaccines are the only product in America where you cannot sue the manufacturer for making a safer version that could have prevented your child's death or injury. That protection came from the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986. Before that law, only three routine vaccines existed: MMR, DTP, and OPV. The injuries caused by those three products were so severe that every company making them either went out of business or stopped production. Every other industry facing that outcome is forced to make a safer product. Congress chose a different path for vaccines. It eliminated liability entirely, not just for those three vaccines, but for every routine childhood vaccine developed from that point forward. "No person may bring a civil action against a vaccine administrator or manufacturer for damages arising from a vaccine related injury or death." That is the foundation everything else is built on.

The Supreme Court's Monsanto ruling works like this: if glyphosate's cancer risk isn't on the label, the EPA said there's no issue, so you can't sue for failure to warn. If it is on the label, you were warned, so you still can't sue. "You can't bring a failure to warn claim in any state under any state law," Aaron Siri explained. "That is basically effectively immunity granted by the members of the US Supreme Court." The bigger problem is who controls the label in the first place. Industry funds and conducts its own safety studies, then decides what to hand over to the EPA. If the EPA accepts the industry's version and finds no harm, that finding now bars any future lawsuits nationwide. "There's a reason the industry wanted the EPA to be in charge of deciding what harms are caused," Siri said. "They know that is an actor they can control, unlike juries."

💉Not a single routine injected childhood vaccine on the CDC schedule has ever been licensed based on a placebo-controlled trial. When another vaccine was used as the control, that vaccine was also never licensed based on a placebo-controlled trial. Every product on the schedule traces back through a chain of vaccines-used-as-controls, and at the bottom of that chain, there is no placebo. Aaron Siri spent ten years fighting the FDA for the clinical trial documents that prove it, and every one of them is cited in chapter 10 of "Vaccines, Amen." "That is a categorical fact. Aaron Siri recently reflected on what it meant to stand on the stage at the Kennedy Center and talk about vaccine safety to a room that included senior officials from the FDA, CDC, and other agencies, along with a crowd of reporters. He didn't know it was a bucket list item until the opportunity came up. When it did, he recognized exactly what it was: a chance to speak directly to the people who had gotten it so wrong and tell them what he thought they needed to do to correct course, including a lot of them firing themselves. "They had a jury problem. They had a you problem." This is it right here. Aaron Siri spells it out. Bayer sells about 10 billion dollars worth of glyphosate every year and had already paid out roughly 10 billion dollars for a single injury, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, from a single type of exposure. Their money bought influence over the executive branch and Congress, including an executive order declaring glyphosate a national security interest. What their money couldn't buy was a jury. Juries were the one place ordinary people could still hold them accountable. The ruling took that away.

The approvals, first reported by the Environmental Working Group, allow the chemicals to be sprayed directly on major food crops including wheat and citrus. 7 to 2. Monsanto wins. Your food loses. Welcome to the pool. Everyone is in it now. The Supreme Court just ruled 7 to 2 in favor of Monsanto, striking down thousands of Roundup cancer lawsuits worth billions in damages. The ruling grants liability protection to the maker of an herbicide that hundreds of thousands of plaintiffs claim causes cancer. Corporations are now getting the same shield that pharmaceutical companies have had on vaccines for decades. If liability protection was fine when it applied to something you didn't personally worry about, today's ruling is a reminder that the same protection now covers what's in your food. When corporate interests drive the political system rather than human interests, that's fascism, not a republic. Regardless of party, the pattern keeps repeating. Corporate interests are winning, and the public is left with fewer tools to hold them accountable.

"There's no way this can be it" Federal regulations require vaccine package inserts to summarize the clinical trial relied upon to license the product for safety. Here is what the Recombivax HB package insert says in that section. "In three clinical studies, 434 doses of Recombivax HB were administered to 147 healthy infants and children up to 10 years of age who were monitored for five days after each dose." There was no control group, five days of safety monitoring, and 147 infants in the trial. That's the data the FDA accepted to license this product for administration to millions of babies. Aaron Siri couldn't believe it, and neither could we.

Prevnar 7 was licensed for infants at two, four, and six months of age with no placebo-controlled trial. There was no ethical reason to skip one. Instead, the control used in the clinical trial was another experimental vaccine, an investigational meningococcal conjugate vaccine that had never been licensed either. A JAMA article authored by FDA scientists acknowledged this approach can mask serious adverse events. Prevnar 7 then became the control used to license Prevnar 13. In that trial, serious adverse events including death, hospitalization, and permanent disability were reported in 8.2% of Prevnar 13 recipients and 7.2% of Prevnar 7 recipients. Prevnar 13 then became the control used to license Prevnar 15. Serious adverse events were reported in 9.6% of Prevnar 15 recipients and 8.9% of Prevnar 13 recipients. The FDA called it safe. Each generation of this vaccine was tested against the last one, and the last one was never tested against a true placebo. Aaron Siri calls it a pyramid scheme of safety, with a baseline that has never been shown to be safe at all.

It worked with vaccines. They're trying it again with our food supply. While everyone's eyes are on bombs dropping overseas, something just happened in Washington that will affect every American sitting down to dinner for generations. The Trump administration's EPA filed a brief at the Supreme Court backing Bayer, arguing that because the EPA never required a cancer warning label on glyphosate, Bayer can't be held liable for not putting one there either. Never mind that the only major safety study the EPA leaned on to clear the product was just retracted weeks ago for its ties to industry. Never mind that three of the nine DOJ attorneys who signed the brief previously worked for law firms that represented Bayer and Monsanto. Glyphosate is sprayed on 80 to 90% of our crops. Over $10 billion has been paid out in cancer lawsuits. 97.8% of respondents to ICAN's poll oppose liability immunity for glyphosate manufacturers. 89% oppose the federal stockpile. And 80% say the retraction of that foundational safety study has shaken their trust in current safety claims. Del has been covering this since 2015 - before the lawsuits, before the WHO declared glyphosate a probable carcinogen, before any of this was mainstream. He saw exactly where it was heading. This is the same playbook as 1986. Get the government to grant immunity. Remove market forces. Remove the ability to sue. And then nobody has any reason to make a better product ever again.
