Jonny Quest was unique in many ways, and it's truly one of a kind in Saturday morning TV. It was twice the budget of The Flintstones, and every other cartoon, full orchestra, characters died violently, the art was more nuanced. Sponsors hated it, and it lost money.

GANDAHAR 1987 This incredible French animated movie is nearly impossible to find on physical media. It was released in the US in the 80s by Harvey Weinstein, who cut out footage, then had the audacity to add his name as producer. There is truly nothing like it!

UFO had some of the best visual effects, models, costumes, sets and props, of any sci-fi show. The designs have inspired so many other artists. Long before The X-Files, it treated aliens as real. Plus the music by Barry Gray is the coolest!

ColecoVision was three times more powerful than Atari 2600 and Intellivision. The games actually looked like they did in the arcades. Sadly the video game crash of 1983, and their computer Adam, killed the system.
