BREAKING: SCOTTISH ACTIVISTS TAKE DIRECT ACTION AGAINST EDINBURGH FIRM LINKED TO GENOCIDE Only hours into 2026, an autonomous direct action group carried out a break-in at the Bruntons Aero Products factory in Inveresk Industrial Park, Musselburgh, on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Activists reportedly dismantled CNC machinery, servers, and computer equipment using hammers, paint, and fire extinguishers found on site. Graffiti left on the walls and machinery read: “There’s only one way this ends” and “Drop Leonardo.” The group said Bruntons was targeted due to its role in supplying Leonardo, a major international arms manufacturer. Leonardo produces laser targeting systems used in F-35 jets and supplies military equipment and training aircraft to Israel, as well as weapons systems used in conflicts across the Middle East. Both Bruntons and Leonardo are members of ADS, the UK arms industry trade association, alongside companies such as BAE Systems, Thales, GKN, and Serco. The action comes amid growing protest activity in Britain over Gaza. On New Year’s Eve, thousands demonstrated outside prisons in solidarity with Palestine Action prisoners, several of whom have been on hunger strike since November. As of today, Heba Muraisi has reached Day 60, with two others passing 50 days without food. The Bruntons incident is believed to be the first pro-Palestine direct action in Britain in 2026. A spokesperson for the group described the action as part of a wider campaign targeting what they call the UK’s role in supplying weapons linked to the ongoing war in Gaza. “Today is Day 1,” the statement said. “Free Palestine.”

Germany’s sanctions office (operates under the Finance Ministry) froze my wife's accounts. When journalist Florian Warweg asked the Finance Ministry about it, they claimed to know nothing. They can find us when they want to punish us. But when we want answers, we don’t exist. Source: Berliner Zeitung

Germany’s Foreign Ministry GermanForeignOffice stripped me of my journalist status & labeled me a “disinformation actor” for exposing its role in the genocide in Palestine. When governments decide who is press — democracy is dead. Next step: call me a spy and jail me? Video source: Florian Warweg NachDenkSeiten

Berlin police tear down photos of Palestinian women who suffer in Israeli prisons, torture, and war-on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This is what "women's rights" look like in Germany; rights for some, silence for others.

Extreme police brutality right now on Berlin's streets. Police are battering peaceful pro-Palestine demonstrators —they came out spontaneously to protest Israel's enforced starvation of the entire population of Gaza. Germany — you can't beat away your guilty conscience.

Jose Maria Sison, founder of the Communist Party of the Philippines, died on this day three years ago. Until his last breath, he represented the armed revolutionary struggle in the Philippines. Watch Sison explain how, before a mass movement can build socialism, the capitalist class will "unleash fascism...just to hide the roots of the crisis."
