The only official way to see the 1.43 IMAX 70MM sequences in THE DARK KNIGHT at home are on the special edition HD Blu-ray set. This is also a good demonstration of how drastic the change is from 2.39 to 1.43 on a home setup.

this texas switch with a CGI body double in SOURCE CODE is crazy because it happens twice without a visible cut. it’s a really solid visual effect and i love the camera move from inside the train to the platform.

a wide, a medium, and a close up in one shot. the seemingly effortless and efficient visual storytelling Spielberg pulls off in small moments like this will forever fascinate me.

The new IMAX Keighley camera that was on display before the junket screening of THE ODYSSEY. It was way smaller in person than I expected, and it’s really simple to operate based on the layout. This is the best film camera on the planet. Hope more filmmakers give it a spin.

i visited the IMAX 70MM booth at Cineplex Vaughan to see the PROJECT HAIL MARY print. if you can see a 70MM show, make the drive, take the train, or even hop on a plane. it's magic. everyone should get to experience this, and that only happens if we prove it's worth expanding.

Here’s a quick refresh on VistaVision for DIGGER and a look at one of the cameras. VistaVision is standard 35mm film that runs horizontally through the gate for a larger negative. Roughly 2x larger. The digital equivalent is a full frame camera like the Sony Venice 2 and FX3.

For anyone that still thinks Paul’s rise to power in DUNE is up for interpretation… here’s Denis setting the record straight. He rewrote Chani to basically spoon feed the audience that “Paul is bad” - but it’s quite clear a lot of DUNE fans think he’s still like Luke Skywalker, which just reinforces the ideas the book/movies propose about messianic figures. Denis is still going to have to make Messiah to deal with same issue Herbert had.

THE ODYSSEY is Christopher Nolan’s crowning achievement. He fully commits to the myth and it's unlike anything he has made before. This movie is strange, stunningly beautiful, and the cast is doing the best work of their careers. Do whatever you can to see it in IMAX 70MM.
