And good policy is: not a single shovel should go in the ground, and not a single slab of concrete should be laid for a data center that drains the surrounding community. The only data centers that should be built are the ones that power the community. Then tell the story. This is exactly right from David Sacks interview with Bret Baier: "One of the things that Jacob and others have claimed is we can reach a deal with China, and that if we pause, they will pause. And there is simply no basis for believing that. Chinese officials have never said that and, in fact, if you look at the statements of Chinese officials and their AI companies, they believe that AI is something that's very good for their economy and they are interested in moving that forward...if we do try to pause or stop our AI development, we will play into China’s hands."
