CCS adapter doesn’t interface with the Cybertruck due to the plastic wheel arches. We ripped those suckers off and plugged it in Wasn’t able to charge at a high voltage charger but it’s possible a low voltage one could work, but then what’s the point? Still more testing to be done, I have to try a few more units to see if this was a comms oddity with the Delta high power

Rivian is releasing this super cool Halloween update where you can “dress up” your Rivian in one of three themes. Another showcase of their vertical integration of software / hardware / fun engineers! The “Trunk or Treat” option is perfect for leaving your Rivian in the driveway to create a spooky aura during the trick-or-treat hours 😱. There are a few different freaky music choices but the best part is you can select from a bunch of different scary sounds from a sound board on your mobile app to freak people out as they approach your truck. This comes on top of the other fantastic improvements found in the software package 2024.39 - which include a gauge cluster refresh, third zone climate control (rear can now be set to a different temp), and more! I’ve been lucky enough to play around with these updates for a bit BUT you really should go check out Jose | RivianTrackr for the full detailed information on the Halloween surprises. Rivian will release these features tomorrow to the wide user base ⚡️

This car is a marvel Complete in-house vertical integration of powertrain, electrical architecture, chassis, and user functions - 48V low voltage / 925V high voltage Dead silent at speed, great sound system, very comfortable seats, and bounces like a Maybach GLS It’s baller… from a technical and visually imposing standpoint. Completely different character to S-Class / 7 Series but one that’s perfectly fitted to the customer of today, and certainly of no less perceived quality than the Germans. Every automaker needs one of these for benchmarking because hoooooly macaroni NIO ET9 💯 💯

NIO ET9 is the second vehicle to use steer-by-wire (Cybertruck was first) and it’s tuned way differently! Just like Cyber you can get ahead of the system and get it out of phase when being an idiot but it’s nearly as quick to recover and doesn’t freak out

Many cars now have 2 motors on the rear axle but almost nobody tunes them properly Lucid spent considerable time on their powertrain torque vectoring and slip targets to make the Sapphire turn into the hand of god Watch as I demonstrate the benefit of Lucid’s logic around front / rear slip targets AND individual motor torque vectoring on the rear axle - curing any hint of understeer and making the car incredibly agile On top of this think about how hard it is to estimate actual vehicle speed when all wheels are spinning all of the time - especially when all of the drivetrain calcs / decisions are made off of % of slip, factoring mu levels, all relative to vehicle actual speed. Pure magic - nothing but respect for the lucid calibrations team 👏🫡 🤯
