Specifically for Surround Sound: • Spatialize Stereo: Control whether to play a spatially processed mix for video and music. As reported in September, when disabled, normal stereo plays on the front speakers, while rear speakers receive an empty mix. Defaults to On for Video and Music. • Surround Level: Adjust the rear pair relative to the fronts. Supports −8 dB through +8 dB, in 0.5 dB steps. Defaults to Normal (0 db). There are no audio options for Whole Room Audio, as it uses stereo channels for both speaker pairs. iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate have private hooks that let apps add Siri Extensions and replace Siri AI’s server backend with third-party models. First, here’s Claude running as a Siri Extension using the Model Delegation API in App Intents. Claude can appear in Siri’s “Ask…” menu and supports the same underlying flow as the built-in ChatGPT extension. In some cases, Siri Extensions can be more powerful than Siri AI. For example, Siri can’t create a CSV, but Claude can easily return one when asked. When system interaction is required, such as setting a reminder, Claude can relay the original or a modified request back to Siri, which completes the request. Requires the private com\.apple.developer.model-delegation entitlement. (1/2)

Finally, GPT-5.6 can return a response through Siri AI’s UI and voice, including interactive elements. Siri AI has a local “Skimmer” planner with limited capabilities that hands off most tasks to Apple’s server models, but that’s for another day. Device Hub in Xcode 27.1 has a hidden Action Bar specifically for iPhone Duo. It gives you a lot more control over the device angle, and you can quickly switch between 5 device poses with keyboard shortcuts. There’s also a “Table Mode” control. To enable: defaults write com\.apple.dt.Devices com\.apple.dt.coredevicepop.useInternalV68ActionBar -bool true and restart Device Hub. The iPhone Duo simulator also comes with a hidden HingeStatePoster wallpaper.
