Full blown operation to get this thing out without us seeing. Fueled, loaded crew, and preflighted in the hangar. Flipped CRANE01 to face me at the south end and beam me with landing lights. Entire airport blacked out, crew and grounds crew all wearing NOD’s. You can barely see the silhouette of her in the video, a light reflects off the vertical stabilizer as she turned towards me. Then it cuts to takeoff, the video starts with her quietly powering up then you can see the tail disappear. Nearly 100% silent.

ATC audio from the Qatari 777 operated by Jetran that preformed the low pass in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Alliance tower wasn’t the happiest with them it seems. They lost their patience pretty quickly. They performed a low pass there before landing. Anywhere from 28’ to 127’ off the runway. I think it’s safe to say he’s not from here. 🎥: VASAviation

It’s Happening!! NASA’s New “Flying Laboratory” is on it’s way home to Langley Research Center. It will now undergo a full interior revamp after having structural mods completed by L3Harris. The Boeing 777-200ER was previously flown by Japan Airlines. Surprisingly it still has the rising sun and old reg on the right wing!
