During Config India I asked everyone which product design team is doing the coolest work. And the answer was unanimous: Sarvam So I asked Kamini Choudhary to show me how she designed the iconic Sarvam AI logo and took a bunch of notes: 1. The first few iterations were discarded despite looking good because they looked very similar to Rameshwaram Cafe and Apple Intelligence. 2. Creating an iconic brand that seamlessly weaves Indian culture and tech requires looking in the most unlikely places for inspiration. Kamini literally took pictures of her office bathroom tiles (the Indian patterns inside it) and used that as an inspiration. She also studied the architectural layout plans for the Lotus temple which heavily influenced the final designs for the Sarvam AI logo. 3. Entire brand design team at Sarvam AI works primarily in Figma and explores thousands of iterations painstakingly by hand. This just goes to show that it's less about using the latest tools or AI models but the designer's desire to push the craft. Big shout to Adyasha Padhy and Varun for making this happen 🫶 👀 Watch Sarvam AI's brand design process:

Designer at Vercel shows why it's a bad idea to walkthrough Figma files during a portfolio review Zooming in an and out of your Figma files makes it very hard for the hiring manager to follow along Instead it's a better idea to show key design screens and just talk about it 👀 Watch the full interview on Sneak Peek: Tom Johnson shows why he didn't walkthrough his Figma design files during the portfolio review with Vercel👇

Designer at Vercel explains why junior designers shouldn't put enterprise dashboard concepts in their portfolio They look clean and impressive to most people. But the moment a hiring manager who's actually designed dashboards sees it they know. They've seen it a hundred times. It looks like you grabbed a Figma template. Restyled it and called it your own work. So the hiring manager rules you out. And you'll keep wondering why! 👀 Full conversation on Sneak Peek: Tom Johnson with the hard truth junior designers need to hear👇

This is how a top designer deals with PMs who send her vibe coded prototypes and ask her to design that She doesn't get mad. Instead she asks: "What are you trying to communicate to me here?" That one question changes everything A PM sending you vibe coded prototypes is just exchanging ideas. It's not a replacement for design thinking 👀 Christina explains why AI won't replace designers:

This is how a top designer uses AI tools to create 70% of the design Every designer should copy this AI prototyping workflow to speed up their design workflow Also sharing prototypes instead of static designs gives stakeholders an experience of using the software. This is why a top designer doesn't care about pixel perfection when vibe coding The goal with using AI design tools is to generate visual artifacts quickly and get alignment with stakeholders Most designers unfortunately waste a lot of hours and credits chasing pixel perfection when vibe coding. This should be done much later in the process after stakeholder alignment Shoutout to Diego Zaks for sharing Ramp's AI design process with the design community 🙏 👀 Watch the full interview on Sneak Peek: georgevisan shows how the Ramp design team uses Magic Patterns for stakeholder alignment👇
