It’s Cybercab Bonanza day at Giga Texas! Fresh off the posting yesterday showing Cybercabs autonomously driving out of the production like exit point and taking the ~2 mile trip to the W EOL and Tesla being granted a Level 4 Autonomous @Roxotabw service license in Texas, today we see a lot of Cybercabs on the move, with the hatch open showing the wheel covers prepped for shipping, ~ a dozen lined up at the factory exit point and much more! The outbound lot at Giga Texas is overflowing with Model Y’s, Cybertruck and Cybercabs! The sorting lanes near the EOL facility are all full and the line of new cars extends to the Cybertunnel and even further south! Production of the “standard” AWD Cybertruck is underway and visible, which supports posts of new owners being assigned VINs. Expected first deliveries of these lower cost AWD trucks should begin by June! Cybercabs were driving around, doing figure 8’s on the small track & being loaded onto transport trucks! Check it out!

Want to know what it sounded like during the launch of Flight 12 of Starship today? Check out this video and the shaking of the windows. This was during my livestream with Ellie in Space 🚀💫 (Ellie in Space) at a ouse about 5 miles from the launch site. Definitely have the volume up! Truly a powerful rocket ... the most powerful ever!

Big news at the new Optimus 10m/y factory construction site today! The 1st steel structure has been erected & as expected the second phase of land reclamation is underway. This will allow this new factory to grow to nearly the same length as the main Giga Texas factory, although it will be a few hundred feet (~50 - 70 m) narrower. If you did not realize the massive size of this new factory, this should tell you all you need to know! A lot of steel beams & columns were being delivered to the site today and using the new staging yard in the nearby “lone tree” field. Giga Texas has a new “mystery” car under a cover & the wheels also masked off with white vinyl. Fortunately I was able to get a top-down view of this one next to another Model Y & a @Cybertruck for comparison. Any ideas what this might be? 😎

Happy 8 April (Wednesday) at Giga Texas, especially for those wanting an update on Cybercabs … I saw about 60 of them in two groups in the outbound lot today … the largest grouping yet! Also, looks like at least some of these have white seats and most still have clearly visible steering wheels … I will let you conclude what you wish from that, but these still do not look like the final “production” versions, so perhaps they are testing out some of the new features while testing some of the Tesla Robotaxi areas around the country.

Over 70 Cybercabs in the Giga Texas outbound lot today in three major areas & driving around! I think this is now the largest single gathering of Cybercabs I’ve observed! I’m also trying to gauge if the $59K Cybertruck production is underway & although there are more in the outbound lot in several different locations, it is really hard to tell. Honestly, I would like to see a lot more coming out of the factory if we will begin seeing deliveries beginning next month, if that is still the plan, but for now the production rate still seems a bit modest. I know they are working hard to ramp up at the same time they are also trying to ramp up Cybercab production.

Something big has changed at Giga Texas with Cybercab production … ~ 14 in the outbound lot WITHOUT STEERING WHEELS! Earlier this week, the production line has begun what we are all waiting for and I would expect to see many more starting on Monday, 4/20 🤠 A big step forward!

Hard to say for sure, but production of the $59K AWD Cybertruck may be just getting started here on this early and soggy morning at Giga Texas … this version is much harder to visually distinguish from the premium AWD versions, so I’ll come back on Wednesday and we’ll see if this is in fact happening. I hope so as there are many new Cybertruck owners eager to get their truck! Cybercab production is also proceeding slowly as Tesla told us it would be early on, but there are still dozens of new Cybercabs in the outbound lot today. I hope we start seeing more of these soon & perhaps introduction into the Tesla Robotaxi fleet soon. I (along with many others) want to give them a try!

At least 15 more glossy & deep gold Cybercabs at the Giga Texas outbound lot today, with more working their way over from the main factory. These all appear to be equipped with the Steering wheel & pedal kits, so probably headed out to more locations around the country for testing … I’m sure we will see more images of these on the roads soon!

30+ Cybercabs on the move via transport trucks & at the crash testing facility today. I’ve had many viewers ask how these Cybercabs are loaded up on the trucks and today’s your lucky day. I captured this in progress. The Cybercabs being loaded onto the trucks have Steering wheels so this means these are for testing purposes only, likely headed to cities around the country as Tesla prepares for Cybercabs to enter into the Tesla Robotaxi fleet sometime in April. Well, you are seeing the final wheels and I discussed this with Herbert Ong 2 months ago after my production line tour. Breaking Giga Texas News! starting today, new vehicles (Model Ys & Cybertruck are moving fully autonomously from the factory to the west outbound lot and without human supervisors! I saw this happening constantly, with Model Ys exiting and immediately driving away on their own from the factory. This is a huge accomplishment for Tesla as now Giga Texas joins Fremont as FSD improves overall efficiency!

Big day for Cybercab at Giga Texas today! Actually, yesterday to kick off March, the production line went into a higher volume & today we see 25 at three main locations, and there were several others I observed driving around too! I think this may be the largest single grouping of Cybercabs ever seen by the public! Shown here, 14 were parked outside the factory exit, 9 were at Crash Testing & 2 were at the W End-of-Line facility!

Cybercabs are multiplying at Giga Texas today, with some driving on the EOL test track, & a great opportunity to see a matte wrapped & production glossy gold versions side by side … great way to see the difference up close! About 40-50 Cybercabs all over the site today, including some testing out the factory exit to the W EOL facility routes, many of the prototypes at the Crash Testing facility today (possibly for recycling) and more! This short video clips show the test driving & comparison between the older and production versions!

Cybercabs continue to be made at relatively small numbers this early Monday, with between 25 & 30 located around the site including the factory exit point & the outbound lot. We have been seeing many of these being transported away from the factory over the past week, with lots of images of them on roads, supercharging & even shopping in the surrounding area. Good sign that these are helping to prepare for Cybercab entry into the Tesla Robotaxi fleet soon 🤞.

Cybercab production versions (note stickers on tires, apparently no steering wheel & seat belts across both front seats at the Giga Texas crash testing facility today. Note the image of the Cybercab team and my circled area on the top left … the wheels seen here appear to be identical to those used in the production area, so these may actually be the final wheel designs, just without the wheel covers installed. These Cybercabs may be production versions being prepared for crash testing too validated the production cars & the line.

Fantastic short video clip with a unique view of a Cybercab at the Giga Texas crash testing facility today showing what it looks like under the front hood We can also see what the open door looks like from above too. In total about 12 Cybercabs were at the crash testing facility this morning with several showing some signs of completed on in progress tests. There were also 8 Cybercabs at the outbound lot today, & these appear to be more of the engineering testing versions with blue tape where exterior mirrors could be attached while they are being used for tests around the country.
