Great work as usual Brother Joe! A built in Starlink, either as a module or actually in the glass of the roof as described in the patent that Tesla has is exactly what is needed in all Tesla vehicles, especially for Cybertrucks here in Alaska where we have connectivity challenges galore! Ted and Francoise

Awesome to see them integrate starlink so quickly! I'm curious if they will replace the other Cybercabs on the road (eventually) with the Starlink versions!

I think they can retrofit

Yeah that makes much more sense honestly

That's a lot cybercab ๐

Great footage! Love to see more Starlink Cybercabs

Do we know, roughly how many cyber cabs are made per day?

๐คทโโ๏ธ

Nice to see Starlink being added to the newly built Cybercabs, but it still looks like an interim solution and not the final production version. Next step: Starlink as a factory option on customer Teslasโฆ

amazing

Phew, life can go back to normal, there will be a video to watch over breakfast in the morning.

@JoeTegtmeyer Are all these cybercabs built today?

๐คทโโ๏ธ within the past 96 hours I think

nice

Hopefully the dates for the MY L get pulled back in. We were 9/14 -9/30, then Oct, and it just changed to December-Jan yesterday.

Great info Joe! Impressive video and pictures!

Always appreciative of these flyovers @JoeTegtmeyer ! Thanks

Can't wait until they just drive out the factory and start giving rides, ramp is painfully slow

Joe, some things Tesla should look at before scaling - safety of that big ass swing door (should have made it sliding) and hidden passenger in that big ass truck.

Funny

Seeing Model YLs and Cybercabs moving through production is exciting, but the real story for buyers is scale. More vehicles coming off the line means more availability, more choice, and a faster path to getting behind the wheel. ๐๐คโก๏ธ

With Starlink but no decals. So are these with steering wheels for data gathering?

Giga Texas: Cybercabs coming off the line with Starlink on the hatch. Looks like tooling, not a retrofit. @grok if Starlink is on the hatch from the line, what else had to change in the die?

Great content as usual Joe. The Starlink terminals are important. I had a Robotaxi ride in Austin several days ago and the Model Y suffered a "Communications" issue half way through the ride. It didn't affect the driving, just my attempts to talk to Grok/support over a UI matter. So Robotaxi model Ys need it too. If there is a Starlink retrofit for Model Ys I will be one of the first to buy it for mine - it just makes the whole Robotaxi comms ecosystem bulletproof. Your Cybercab launch event summary was great too. Both of my Cybercab rides a day later were boringly uneventful - just as they should be. Cheers - Graham.

It's edge of our seat stuff happening within even just the last few weeks. By year end it will be crazy and just wait for next delivery numbers, it's gotta be 500k

If they run out of room, they can store a few at my house.

tooling vs retrofit is the actual tell here, anyone can bolt on a module for a demo but changing the die means they're committing to it long term

They finally says "hi Joe" to you face to face

This is a great signal when people get concerned about NHTSA not looking favorably on Teslaโs self-certification of Cybercab. They wouldnโt be pumping these out if they were concerned about NHTSA saying no.

@peterdevietien

Do the cabs have steering wheels?

Nice callout on the Starlink V5 integration on all Cybercab production units coming out of the Austin factory.

Awesome!๐

the starlink module on the hatch looks like a factory-integrated part now, not a retrofit

Wow is the Giga Texas outbound lot full today and its every vehicle product in production at the factory! 100โs of Model Yโs & crucially, a lot of Model YLs too โฆ backing up the mid-September start of delivery many reservation holders a re hearing! Lots of Cybertruck in the lot and driving out from the factory to the W EOL for processing. This is great to see and also backs up stories of many people taking deliveries. What is a bit odd is that those with reservations from the $59K event and previously told to expect delivery in 2027 are taking delivery now. Not sure, but it seems that the reservation # doesnโt necessarily mean it is in sequential order. And not to be outdone, many more Cybercabs int eh outbound toot today too, some with โCybercabโ logos. I did not see any of these with the Starlink modifications, so not sure what to make of this, but great to see production happening ahead of the big Cybercab Launch Event coming up soon!
