A game developer with 13 years of experience says he used Claude Code to build his own 3D asset pipeline. Describe an asset → Python drives Blender in the background → export a .glb with rigs, animations and collision geometry. Claude helped build the generation scripts, local API and desktop interface. The builder takeaway: domain expertise helps define what to automate and what usable output should look like. Would you ship AI-generated game assets, or keep them for prototyping?

Claude Code built roughly 95% of this procedural pixel creature engine from a single detailed prompt. No premade sprites. No AI-generated textures. Just Godot, C#, and code generating body plans, rigs, animations, mutations, and pixel art across 9 creature families. The prompt wasn’t a vibe. It was an engineering spec. Check the repo in the comments.

Claude Opus 5.5 built this entire 78-second animated film in ~45 minutes. One index.html file. No images. No video files. No libraries. Just JavaScript, Canvas 2D, and Web Audio generating every frame and sound directly in the browser. AI coding has moved far beyond CRUD.

The asset pipeline is becoming code. Willowmere was built with Claude Opus 5.5: • No PNGs • No 3D model files • No audio samples Every object is generated procedurally with Three.js, while the music and sound effects are synthesized in-browser through the Web Audio API. Game design still needs taste. But the production bottlenecks are disappearing fast.

AI can now build 50% of a game in one prompt. That’s exactly why most AI games suck. This creator can’t code. But this isn’t a one-prompt demo. They kept iterating on the art direction, animations, gameplay, and feel. AI removed the coding barrier. It didn’t remove game design, playtesting, or taste. The last 50% is the actual game.

A developer gave Opus 5.5 a $20 budget to autonomously create a 60-second explainer video. Then forgot to provide the API key. Instead of stopping, Opus built a local production studio: • Kokoro-82M for voice • JavaScript + FluidR3 for music • Code-generated and CC0 sound effects • Whisper for audio QA • Hand-drawn Canvas animations 55 minutes later, it shipped a finished 51-second video. Additional cost: $0. The best agent isn’t the one that never hits a failure. It’s the one that finds another path and keeps shipping.
