Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martinez and I have a lot more in common than folks might think. We’re both lifelong organizers driven by a sense of justice, and a commitment to working together and building a coalition to deliver for Angelenos. I’m honored to have his support for our campaign!

More tax credits. Less fees. Streamlined Permitting. That's how we keep film & TV jobs in LA. When the lights go down, I think about the people who made what's on that screen: the grips, the crews, the caterers, the set builders. I created the first tax credit in Sacramento, and I helped expand it as Mayor. We appointed a Film Czar to help filmmakers avoid bureaucracy. Cut filming fees at Griffith Observatory cut by 70%. Reopened the Central Library to production after more than a decade. Issued Executive Directives to cut the red tape that was pushing shoots out of LA. Whatever it takes to protect film jobs in Los Angeles, I'll do it. Alongside the unions and the working people who built this industry.

$937 for an apartment in DTLA? Say less. We're driving down the cost of rents & mortgages by turning vacant offices into new homes. After 26 years of inaction, I expanded LA's Adaptive Reuse program citywide -- clearing the way for as many as 43,000 new homes across Los Angeles. Now the old World Trade Center that’s been sitting vacant for years is becoming 512 homes, 100% affordable, right in the heart of downtown. Because everyone deserves a place to call home. 💙

We won on Tuesday – and LA rejected Spencer Pratt and the MAGA agenda. Next, we'll win in November! Because this is an election with a choice between whether we keep making change together or Nithya Raman who allows encampments near schools and fights against hiring more cops, yet is MIA on saving Hollywood jobs and fighting back when ICE invades LA

Reducing homelessness. Building more housing. Funding public safety.

Councilmember Raman doesn’t show up for work. She’s missed several thousand votes. She skipped her last meeting as Chair of the Homelessness & Housing Committee. That’s why the majority of her council colleagues support our campaign and not a single one will endorse her.

When I became mayor, Los Angeles was facing challenges that had been ignored for decades. So I got to work. Homelessness is down 17.5%. Homicides are at their lowest level since the 1960s. More than 42,000 affordable housing units are being fast-tracked. There is still more work to do to make L.A. safer, more affordable, and a city that works for everyone.

If one lot is too much work to get fixed, how do expect voters to trust you to run the city.

Bringing down homelessness in EVERY district throughout LA. Down two years in a row, down 18%.

I clashed with Trump's ICE agents and Angeleno's locked arms to protect our neighbors. I achieved the first two-year drop in homelessness ever. I battled red tape and insurers to help families rebuild from fires. Now, I haven't always got it right. There's more work to do. With your help, I'll keep fighting for LA.

Hollywood is part of L.A.’s identity. The entertainment industry should be able to thrive in the city that built it. That’s why I cut filming fees, reduced unnecessary production costs, and reopened city buildings for filming to help keep jobs and production in Los Angeles. There’s still a lot more work to do, but we’re finally seeing an uptick in production in L.A.
