The U.S. Army may have deployed its Dark Eagle Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) to Guam. During the Valiant Shield exercise on June 6, troops from the 7th Infantry Division (Multi-Domain Command - Pacific) conducted Dark Eagle training. The U.S. Army did not reveal the location, but photos, Adm. Samuel Paparo’s June movements, and the exercise area strongly suggest Guam. The LRHW has a reported range of around 3,500 km. U.S. commanders have previously stated that, from Guam, the weapon could threaten high-value targets on mainland China.source:

A tank commander of a Russian T-90M tank operating in the Ukraine placed a figurine of Asuna, a character from the Japanese anime Sword Art Online, inside the turret, believing it would bring him good luck. The commander’s radio call sign is "neko," which means "cat" in Japanese, as cats are said to have nine lives.

If Japan had not surrendered earlier, scenes like this might have appeared during the planned U.S. invasion of Japan in the final stages of World War II. In 1944, the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the predecessor of the CIA, and the U.S. Army Air Forces jointly developed the secret “Javaman” project. The concept involved using B-17 bombers to remotely control explosive-laden boats through wireless television signals, allowing operators to guide them from up to 135 km away against Japanese ports and shipping routes. Nearly eight decades later, the same basic concept has evolved with modern technology. Satellite communications allow operators to control unmanned surface vessels from much greater distances, while night vision, thermal imaging, and AI-based target recognition enable attacks in darkness and rough seas. The core idea remains surprisingly similar: a low-cost unmanned platform carrying explosives, directed remotely to strike high-value maritime targets. What has changed is the range, sensors, autonomy, and precision—not the fundamental concept.

The Active Protection System (APS) of France's future CAPINT main battle tank is capable of countering Armor-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot (APFSDS) rounds! 🛡️💥 During an interview with Military Machine Fr, a KNDS expert explained: "To counter the number one enemy of modern tanks—the APFSDS (kinetic energy penetrator/dart projectile)—which flies at incredible speeds up to 1,700 m/s, leaving less than a second of reaction time if fired from 2 km away, we integrated a brand-new defense technology in the black area above the front hull. It launches interceptor projectiles to directly impact and disrupt the incoming long-rod penetrator. This impact instantly alters the projectile’s flight attitude, forcing it to tilt, which drastically reduces its penetration capability. It can even snap or shatter it mid-air, ensuring the fragments strike the hull without causing any catastrophic internal behind-armor damage. It acts like an airborne protective barrier colliding with the penetrator." Sounds remarkably similar to Ukraine's "Zaslon" (Barrier) Active Protection System.

"We scare the hell out of the Chinese with this (MRC) because we keep it over in the Philippines and Japan. Keeping them moving around the indoor paycom. And then I've got long range hypersonic weapon. This has got a 3500 kilometer range which means I can range mainland China from the Guam. So able to hold threat targets at risk......(Warhead of LRHW)It's pretty small. It's under 30 lbs of explosives. It really just gets your um injured projectile out. So, it's all the speed."

During Exercise Balikatan 2026 in the Philippines, the U.S. military used a target vessel converted from a small remote-controlled high-speed boat to simulate a PLA ZBD-05 amphibious assault vehicle. The target craft is about 9 meters long, roughly 90% the size of the actual ZBD-05, and capable of speeds exceeding 30 knots (around 56 km/h), allowing it to realistically replicate a high-speed amphibious assault target during live-fire training. source:

Recently, the Royal Thai Air Force deployed F-16 fighter jets to bomb a bridge and a casino inside Cambodian territory. Interestingly, a post-strike video released by the Cambodian side shows a Rolls-Royce Cullinan coincidentally driving across the bridge after half of it had been destroyed.

The Mk 58 CRAW (Compact Rapid Attack Weapon) is derived from the Countermeasure Anti-Torpedo (CAT) developed for the Anti-Torpedo Torpedo Defense System (ATTDS), a carrier-based program cancelled in 2018. Unlike ATTDS—which suffered from a high rate of false alarms in dense carrier strike group environments crowded with escorting ships and acoustic contacts—a submarine operating independently can provide a much cleaner tactical picture, allowing CAT-derived technology to perform far more effectively.

Anduril's EagleEye "That includes an 80g (2.8 oz) Oakley standard issue glasses design, as well as a ballistic, full-face shield option that is being designed in-house...The full-face ballistic shield fully encapsulates your head to protect primarily [from] blast force...that’s a much wider field display. It’s over 200-degrees wide and over 100-degrees tall. It’s a very different display system that’s more like a night vision pass through system. It’s not optically transparent. It’s a full reprojection system."

#SNA2026 BAE systems released a new marketing vid for the Adaptable Deck Launching System(ADL) in a container. Their choice of target is the PLAN's Type-054A frigate. As the strength of the Russian Navy continues to decline and China’s military power steadily grows, Chinese weapon systems have begun to replace former Soviet–Russian equipment as the primary “notional adversary” in the marketing materials and promotional content of some Western defense companies.
