Did you know this line is inspired by Queen Elizabeth I’s famous 1588 Tilbury speech? “I know I have the body of a weak, feeble woman; but I have the heart and stomach of a king.” Did you catch the reference, or is this your first time hearing it?

One thing I’ve always found ironic in House of the Dragon… The Great Council of 101 AC chose Viserys over Rhaenys, setting a precedent that a male claimant came before a female one. Yet years later, Viserys ignored that very precedent and named Rhaenyra his heir while Daemon was still alive. So here’s my question… If Viserys accepted the decision that put him on the Iron Throne, why didn’t he follow the same principle when choosing his own heir? Did he truly believe Rhaenyra was the rightful choice? Or was naming her heir simply his way of keeping Daemon away from the throne?

Random thought… 🤔 During House of the Dragon, Dorne wasn’t part of the realm yet everyone still called it The Seven Kingdoms. If Dorne was an independent kingdom, were the Targaryens actually rulers of the Seven Kingdoms or were they just claiming a kingdom they never truly controlled? What do you think?
