Bye bye San Francisco 👋 It was my first time in the USA, so here is what surprised me: - SF is like X IRL. Tons of billboards ads for Vercel, PostHog, and AI startups - You can bump into anyone and start a conversation. Ppl are very friendly - Food is mediocre imho - It’s expensive AF. $10k/mo is just above survival - The tech grind is contagious. Makes you wanna ship more, as Dominik Sobe ツ said. - Air quality is awesome (very low PM2.5) - You go from multibillion startup office to super poor area in 1 block (note to self: don’t follow Google Maps “busy area”) - The city is infested by self driving cars. It’s dystopian Thanks again for having us Stripe. It was awesome to meet my indie friends IRL

I tested my V02 max for the first time today: 🫀 57.4 ml/kg/min According to ChatGPT, that's the top 5–10% of men my age. The test was done in a lab using the Bruce protocol. Every 3 minutes, treadmill speed and incline increase: - stage 1: 4 km/h at 10% grade - stage 2: 5.5km/h at 12% - stage 3: 6.7 km/h at 14% - etc etc I passed out at the end of stage 5. It's just a horrible test because you're fighting inner demons to get a little farther. V02 max is a key biomarker in predicting longevity, so from now on, I'll focus my training on increasing that number.

When AI detects that I’m sitting like a shrimp 🦐, it sends me a notification with a preview of my posture so I can reposition myself. Everything stays local. It works offline too. > And because apparently my brain only responds to fake rewards, I added XP: good posture makes my shrimp evolve (currently level 7).

Stripe is one of the rare big companies that doesn’t enshitify and actually cares about its customers.

DataFast Realtime Map now shows the likelihood of a visitor making a purchase 🤑 The algorithm analyzes 10 metadata points (browser, country, referrer, etc.) from your previous purchase patterns to make predictions. 🥵 Warmer color = higher chance to become a customer 🥶 Cooler color = cold traffic... I also added a confidence score (not all segments have enough data) and an estimated value for this visitor (predicted conversion rate X average purchase for a similar segment). Your startup needs at least 1,000 visitors and 10 attributed payments to see the prediction data (the more data, the better the accuracy) Available now!
