Today I filed an amendment to the shelter bill. It would have required the Commonwealth to work with ICE if dangerous individuals were at the shelter. The democrats ruled it out of scope to avoid a vote and then heckled me while at the microphone. The #Massachusetts House of Representatives released their long awaited energy bill, H.5151 which was supposed to help “reduce the cost of energy” in the Commonwealth. In typical Beacon Hill fashion, this bill completely misses the mark. In November, 72% of voters supported question one which allows Diana DiZoglio Diana DiZoglio to audit the #Massachusetts legislature. Today I (and others) filed an amendment to the house rules package, which would codify question one as a rule of the House of Representatives. That’s a wrap for the House budget. Two and a half days, $62B+, funding for illegal immigrants, explosion in Mass Health and overall spending, no audit, and essentially no debate. Climate legislation coming out of Beacon Hill is having devastating impacts on #Massachusetts residents and businesses. The #MA Clean Air Act isn’t practical- EV heavy duty trucks aren’t available today, charging infrastructure isn’t in place, truck costs are double, and the reality is EV trucks can’t meet operational needs. This will cost residents dearly and businesses will leave MA and jobs will be lost. We need to delay these regulations.
