I want to get The Stalker 2 made faster, but I know I need more hands on the project if I want that to happen. Trouble is that I'm not much of a project director. I always like doing things in the trenches getting marching orders from above, rather than giving the orders myself.

Since Roblox's Emote UGC validation is very vague about the requirements for emotes to pass, I looked into the actual validation code and created a test dummy suite that visually identifies and logs what its actually rejecting. #RobloxUGC #RobloxDev

Fun fact: There are still a few features in Roblox's ParticleEmitter system which aren't developer facing. Notably: - Non-uniform perspective scaling. - Color textures for defining particle color variation. - Alpha textures for providing precision beyond just an envelope.

Portal 2's paint gun is working in the leaked 2010 build. Here's a functional restoration of it! #Portal2

Grinded Claude for like 4 hours trying to fix some of Half-Life 2's E3 2003 demo files. I've been able to mostly fix two of them so far (e.g. getting them to playback in the leaknet build of Half-Life 2 without any hacks or code changes)

Major improvements to the decal projector! Should be significantly more reliable on meshes, morphing actually works on primitive shapes properly now, better wrapping around sharp corners, performance improvements, etc.

In Half-Life's leaked 1997 prototype, there were 4 demo files recorded by a Valve employee on earlier builds of the game which did not work correctly in the prototype build. I had Claude analyze them and managed to produce patched versions that can be played. Here is dem1.dem:

I have a private toolchain that lets me load Roblox's dynamic heads into Blender, and yeah... they definitely used the Avatar Setup tool for a lot of these. The weight-painting and joint names seem very... automated.

The extents people have pushed that port I did of mario's sm64 physics to Roblox has reached heights I never could have dreamed of. I'm honestly super happy about it.

The reason Roblox characters have the face they do is because the procedural head mesh capsule Roblox generated at the time had squashed UV mapping, which vertically stretched the face texture.
