I know it seems utterly ludicrous to keep the pond running in severe weather conditions like this. I did give up and turned it off. And then...a parade of wildlife came by, foxes, birds, racoons...seemingly distressed. An entire ecosystem depends on it. So I restarted it.

I'm very proud that our leaders in Canada openly cry, no matter what party stripe they are. Prime Minister Carney is above all, a human. He's a father and a husband.

When Prime Minister Carney speaks, he has an air of authority that is respected around the world. When Pierre speaks he seems SO SMALL like he doesn't belong on the stage. That's why I think Carney is heading toward one of the greatest electoral victories in Canadian history.

I lowered our flag in honour of OPP Constable Tarun Bali, and Toronto Police Officer Marc Pinizzotto. Both were killed in the line of duty this week. We wish their loved ones and friends, and the communities they served, healing and peace.

A teen and his girlfriend stopped by today to tell us that they've driven by the pond every day for a year on the way to and from school, watching every stage and how impt it was to their day. I was having a rough day and these two lifted my spirits. The kindness of strangers.
