How can life change in just a single moment? Only moments ago, there was laughter, joy, and play. I was doing everything I could to create a few happy memories for my daughter, Rafif — small moments of happiness for a child who deserves nothing but a normal childhood. And then, suddenly… everything changed. Powerful explosions. Walls shaking. Buildings trembling. And our hearts feeling as though they were about to burst from our chests with fear. Is this justice? Do we deserve all this pain and terror? At any moment, you may hear that Rafif’s entire family is gone. The days will pass, life will move on, and perhaps we too will be forgotten, as so many others have been forgotten. But Rafif was here. She was a little girl who dreamed of growing up, laughing more, and living a life like every other child in this world. If you remember anything, remember Rafif.

We are completely exhausted… we can no longer bear more. Everything feels heavier with each passing day. We try to hold on, we try to be patient and stay strong, but what we live through here in Gaza every single day is beyond what any human being can endure. Seeing these streets, this harsh reality, and the difficult life we are forced to live day after day is breaking us little by little. Please, just support us. Sometimes, a single word, a single share, or a single prayer can change everything… For Rafif… for my family.

Rafif’s family, like all families in Gaza, lives with this feeling every single day… A sound that never leaves our ears, following us through every second and every moment. The sound of aircraft and explosions keeps fear alive in our hearts all the time. The sky over Khan Younis has become terrifying, filled with aircraft. We don’t know when the silence will come or where we can find safety. We aren’t asking for much… only a chance to live, for our children to sleep without fear, and to have a normal childhood away from the sounds of war.

Please keep praying for my daughter, Rafif. 💔🙏 Despite all the pain and suffering she is going through, she is trying with all her strength to remain steadfast. We will go in a few hours to the doctor to have my daughter Rafif examined, and despite the difficult conditions in Khan Younis, we will go to check on her. Our lives are constantly in danger, and even when we go to receive medical treatment, our lives are at risk at any moment. 🙏 Keep Rafif in your hearts and prayers. I don’t understand in what world we’re living… or on what planet this could ever be normal. Just a few hours ago, everything was fine. I went out with Rafif and my wife—just a simple outing for Rafif, to lift her spirits and help her cope with her pain and exhaustion. But suddenly, in a single moment… everything changed. The bombing returned, and death returned to the streets of Gaza. This was a photo of Rafif as we were heading to the market… and shortly after, everything turned into fear and unimaginable terror.
