10 hours ago, from 3:30 in the morning until sunrise, the sound of gunfire — both near and far — never stopped. I stayed awake the entire night beside my daughter, Rafif, while she was sleeping, trying to protect her from the fear around us. This is the life we live every day in Gaza — fear, terror, anxiety, and sleepless nights. Do we really deserve to live a life filled with this much fear?

I don’t understand in what world we’re living… or on what planet this could ever be normal. Just a few hours ago, everything was fine. I went out with Rafif and my wife—just a simple outing for Rafif, to lift her spirits and help her cope with her pain and exhaustion. But suddenly, in a single moment… everything changed. The bombing returned, and death returned to the streets of Gaza. This was a photo of Rafif as we were heading to the market… and shortly after, everything turned into fear and unimaginable terror.

Please keep praying for my daughter, Rafif. 💔🙏 Despite all the pain and suffering she is going through, she is trying with all her strength to remain steadfast. We will go in a few hours to the doctor to have my daughter Rafif examined, and despite the difficult conditions in Khan Younis, we will go to check on her. Our lives are constantly in danger, and even when we go to receive medical treatment, our lives are at risk at any moment. 🙏 Keep Rafif in your hearts and prayers. We ask God to ease her suffering, grant her strength and patience, and bless her with a complete and speedy recovery. Please don’t forget her in your prayers and kind wishes. 🙏🙏

Just moments ago, we were laughing and playing, trying to create a small moment of joy for my daughter, Rafif… But in a single second, random gunfire tore through our peace in the middle of Khan Younis. A child not yet two years old has already learned the sound of bullets, calling it “dukh” instead of being lost in play and laughter… Instead of a childhood, fear is planted in her heart, and terror fills her days. This is Rafif’s reality today… A childhood stolen from the children of Gaza before the eyes of the world, in unbearable silence.

After a terrifying night for us and the children here in Gaza, under escalation and bombardment… we are still alive. Today, Yusuf came to visit us, and Rafif insisted that we go outside for a little while, so we stepped out into the street despite the fear living inside us. Moments we can never forget… Yesterday, we left Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis heading toward the city center, but the lack of transportation forced us to walk for a long time. As we approached central Khan Younis, near the yellow line, the shelling and gunfire intensified, so we stayed in one place for a while to avoid risking our lives. When the situation finally stabilized, we made our way to my aunt’s home, but we were unable to make contact due to the loss of network and internet, and our phone battery was almost empty. Rafif and her family are safe. Please keep us in your continued prayers.
