Ghost was a character who loved to be in control but this was the first time we saw Ghost really spooked, where later, Tommy took control. Ghost was so busy with club business, dealing with Filipe Lobos, various relationships, he didn't realize Milan was disguised as Dean. He had men in his clubs, he knew where he lived, he knew about his relationship with Angela, he studied Ghost's routine, right under his nose. Kanan once said that he's seen Ghost spooked before and it wasn't good for anyone. Hopefully, this is something we see in Power Origins, as threats and experiences like this at a young age, would have helped make Ghost the calculated, strategic character we originally saw in Power. But this one moment and Kanan's history lesson, we will for sure see Ghost spooked by something in Origins.

Notice how Kanan asked Tommy about how was business instead of Ghost? He viewed Tommy as the more open, street-loyal, and emotionally accessible from the two. Someone he could still manipulate or get real information from without immediate suspicion. The interaction with Ghost was more tense, guarded, and uncomfortable, because Ghost felt uneasy about his unexpected return. Especially since him and Tasha set him up. Ghost was someone who loved control, but with Kanan now out, it was about he knew it could turn into more chaos on all fronts, business, streets and with Tommy.

Ghost did warn Tariq, keep thinking he was smarter than him, don't ever make that mistake. From then on, Tariq's life just turned into turmoil, which continued into Power Book 2 Ghost. Ghsot was still controlling Tariq, from forcing him to go to school, completing his education for his inheritance to having plans put in place for Yasmin. Ghost was always 3 moves ahead.. Only then did Tariq start to understand Ghost more and more and also why he did what he did. He's learned more about Ghost since he killed him than when he was alive. A trend I expect to continue in Power Legacy when he's with Tommy.

Ghost was right, Dre had all the potential to make it work. He had dreams beyond the streets, but the difference was, he never really wanted to leave the streets behind. He was mentored by Kanan, Tommy and also schooled by Ghost in the real world of business and he was damn good at it too. We saw how he hustled and kept the clubs running when Ghost was in jail in Season 4. The problem with Dre was, he was always in the grey area, scheming, conniving and snitching!

Jukebox wasn't originally supposed to die here in Season 4. Her original plan was to come to New York to cause chaos for Ghost and Tommy & according to fan speculation - Also be the one to kill Raina, not Ray-Ray this is not 100% confirmed. Due to Anika Rose's commitments on other shows, she had to be taken off the chess board. However, on Kanan killing Jukebox, it's a question that Sascha Penn has said that we would get some answers to. I assume at some point in Raising Kanan Season 5, there will be major conflict between the two. #RaisingKanan

Drunk Ghost was something else 😭 Originally Courtney Kemp had pitched the idea of calling Power 'The Price' The story centered on a drug dealer who was in recovery from addiction. CK - “We were going to show coke on a scale and then the dollar amount,” she said. “So, the price would’ve been the price of the drugs, but also the price you have to pay to get a new life.” It was about a drug dealer in recovery who had a sponsor, but the execs instructed Kemp to take out the recovery aspect. After doing some thinking, she realized her project was less about how much one has to pay and more about how much control one doesn’t actually have. “At its core, it’s about powerlessness,” she said. “So, I called the show Power.” However - They did still retain some elements of this alcohol addiction in Ghost's character arc, which was mentioned a number of times throughout Power. Something to perhaps keep in mind for Power Origins. A young Ghost turning to alochol during certain problems/situations.

Something we need to learn more about in Power Origins. The how & why of why Ghost killed Breeze. However, that's not all. This conversation also highlights another interesting dynamic, relationship and question. If Ghost was able to kill Breeze, someone who he loved like a brother. Why wasn't he able to do the same with Kanan? Kanan was there for him when his pops died, but it's clear there was a lot of love between Kanan and Ghost in Power Origins. As good as Proctor was, Ghost was a master strategist. He didn't just play this particular game against Angela, he anticipated her moves. He was the mastermind who orchestrated Proctors victory over Angela, which Ghost exploited a illegally obtained photo of Tommy from the underage Isabella Ruiz, which the judge had no option to dismiss. Throughout this battle, Ghost was always 3 steps ahead. It also highligted how much Ghost loved Tommy, he was family, a bond that even Angela couldn't break. Something that Power Origins will no doubt unravel, where they delve deeper into their brotherhood.

Just like Ghost, Tariq was juggling multiple issues during this period of Power. He was navigating the court case around Yasmin, his drug operation with the Tejada's, evading Law Enforcement & more. The pressure was on. But the arrest was a huge pivot and shift for Tariq's character, where he received the letter from Ghost. But the letter was more than just words on a piece of paper. It was Ghost being prepared and foreseeing Tariq's future/failures long before his own death... It was showing how Tariq, despite him killing Ghost to escape his influence, he still couldn't outrun a Ghost, in this instance his father. The letter as a masterful reminder that some moves are eternal. The only key ingredient that was missing, was Omari Hardwick voiceover during the scene, which would have showed how Ghost was truly haunting Tariq.
