More experiments with Pika labs “additions”

All you need is a child like imagination. Playing with Luma Modify Video.

Just doing a first test with #runwayml new video to video. No image input yet, only text atm. But driving the animation is a good first step.

Playing around with an imaginary Ai tactical Amazonian security guard… who likes to read during her lunch. This is really just more exploring Pika Additions capabilities.

It is fun but it’s hard to not dream of the more capable and intuitive future systems with much deeper control. I can’t wait.

Another Ai video to video tests.

I grew up editing action movies with two vhs players &amp; having to warn police we were filming with painted toy guns. My first VFX was frame by frame in photoshop from minidv. Kids growing up with advanced versions of this tech are going to do absolutely incredible things.

Doing the monsters made me want to test some big environmental stuff with Pika Additions.

People keep asking if Luma AI can do Ai crowds so Jack and I thought I’d see how “Modify with instructions” does with me playing rockstar.

Honestly, Runway first frame has more range than I initially thought. I will say they could really use a green screen button to replace the backgrounds though.

Runway First Frame and Act One. (Structure Transformation 7)

I thought laser swords would be a fun way to test out multiple lights. This Ai light effect test with Runway Gen3 was really hijacking my face. But there’s obvious model tuning solutions to that.

In a few years people will be building Ai realities with assets they crafted using all kinds of inputs well beyond the current limited prototypes. Fondant and Runway Gen3 used for this quick conceptual video.

Testing out runway’s first frame as a relighting tool. I relit the frame with Magnific. The Magnific relight isn’t perfect and can change the character a bit but it seems like the runway part stays pretty true to the input.

These 3 clips were using Luma Ai Modify Video set on Flex 2 strength with first frames edited in Midjourney. V2V keeps getting better.

I made another film with Ai. This time I used #runwayml ‘s text to video Ai #gen2 . Each shot was prompted. Voices generated with #elevenlabs I wrote the story based on a tweet #gpt4 wrote: “I just had a dream that I was an AI and woke up in a lab. What does it mean?” #aicinema

I’m not sure if I take my work too seriously or not serious enough but I’m having a great time. 😂

Comparing Ai directly with real footage of you is a great way to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of a given system. This test is Viggle 3, Adobe generative fill, Magnific, and Runway for the background at the end.

Just a little zombie experiment. I also tested mixing Viggle and Pika Additions on one shot and it worked pretty well.
