I grew up editing action movies with two vhs players & having to warn police we were filming with painted toy guns. My first VFX was frame by frame in photoshop from minidv. Kids growing up with advanced versions of this tech are going to do absolutely incredible things.

Honestly, Runway first frame has more range than I initially thought. I will say they could really use a green screen button to replace the backgrounds though.

Testing out runway’s first frame as a relighting tool. I relit the frame with Magnific. The Magnific relight isn’t perfect and can change the character a bit but it seems like the runway part stays pretty true to the input.

The future of Ai is, and always has been mixed realities and stable building across physical and digital worlds. It’s moving slower than I expected but it continues to move forward inch by inch. In the end our language interaction with Ai will be almost entirely social.
