We’re back with another great ladder rep-scheme workout! 💪🪜 Add volume to your workouts while getting some serious strength work done and adapting to managing your fatigue. You will only climb the ladder as far as you are physically able. As you progress, you can add additional reps to the ladder. Perform three rounds of a 1-to-4 rep ladder on the following three exercises: kettlebell swing kettlebell goblet squat kettlebell goblet lunges (per leg) The sequence looks like: 1 rep of kettlebell swing + 1 rep of goblet squat + 1 rep of lunge per leg, then 2 reps of kettlebell swings + 2 reps of kettlebell goblet squats + 2 reps of lunges per leg, then 3 reps of kettlebell swings + 3 reps of goblet squats + 3 reps of lunges per leg, then 4 reps of kettlebell swings + 4 reps of kettlebell goblet squats + 4 reps of kettlebell lunges per leg. Once you get to 4, rest for 90 seconds before repeating for two more rounds. As you progress, work your way up to performing a 1-to-10 rep ladder with these exercises. Here’s your fourth challenge for Ocean Conservancy’s #OceanConservancyChallenge, Peakers: Taper your takeout waste & pack a waste-free lunch! 🥡 Fact: Plastic foam is particularly harmful to marine life. Plastic foam breaks apart easily, and studies have found that plastic foam pieces are ingested by a wide range of marine animals including birds🪿 (albatross, petrels, gulls, fulmars), shellfish🦀 (crabs, mussels, barnacles), marine mammals🦭 (seals, sea lions, porpoises), and turtles🐢 (green, loggerhead). Tip: Going to a Peaker meet-up picnic🧺🌲 outdoors? Bring snacks or meals in reusable containers and pack reusable utensils🍴 to reduce your trash impact. What a year it has been for us Sam Heughan! As we are heading towards the end of #MPC2023 and in honor of #GivingTuesday, we want to reflect on what a remarkable year it has been for all of the #Peaker community! Not only did our Peakers walk over 359,000,000 steps to the moon for the #MoonroStepChallenge in support of Blood Cancer UK but this year we partnered with Ocean Conservancy and collected 3,460.8 pounds/1,569.8 kilograms of trash from over 30 countries and 31 U.S. states while making better environmental changes in our daily lives. Together, we have raised a total of $515,161 bringing our total amount raised to date to a whopping: $7,430,896!!!!!! We couldn't have done this without our #Peakers supporting the incredible work of our charity partners. I just know that #MPC2024 is going to be OUR YEAR! Get ready, Peakers... you're in for a treat!

Here’s your second challenge for #OceanConservancyChallenge, Peakers: Take a stand on straws and quit the cutlery! 🍴 Fact: Plastic cutlery and plastic straws have been ranked as key threats to marine🐬 life. In a 2015 study co-authored by Ocean Conservancy, cutlery was rated as one of the top two items with the greatest ingestion risk for seabirds, turtles🐢, and marine mammals. Tip: When ordering food🥡 for delivery, skip the plastic utensils or chopsticks and use what you have at home. Grabbing food on the go or traveling? Here’s your third challenge for #OceanConservancyChallenge, Peakers: Hydrate without waste & use reusable bottles!💧♻️ For October, we will give $1 to Ocean Conservancy for every MPC mug and reusable bottle. 🌊 Fact: Plastic bottles are a major contributor to environmental pollution. Plastic bottles break up into and generate microplastics, which enter the environment and pose a threat to both wildlife and human health. The plastic rings from bottle caps pose a significant threat as these can become entangled between seabirds’ necks and beaks, limiting the ability of the bird to feed.
