George Russell got booed on the Monza podium. 😮‍💨 For second place. In a Mercedes 1-2. After his teammate just won from P19 in front of all of Italy. After George spent most of the race on hards, got jumped late on fresher tyres, then still clapped the kid who beat him. 👏 So... why? Because Kimi is the home story and George is standing next to it. That's it. That's the crime. He didn't crash him. He didn't steal the win. He didn't refuse to clap. He just finished second in the same car and somehow became the villain of a fairy tale that already had a happy ending. 📖 If your guy wins and you still need to boo the other silver car, that's not passion. That's insecurity with a grandstand ticket. 🎟️ Mercedes need to stand in front of him. Not with a polite "superb P2" clip. With an actual line: this is our driver, he drove a proper race, the noise is cheap. Protect the one who just lost a home Grand Prix like a professional while half the grandstand acted like he'd burned the flag. And to the people doing it online too — sit down. Your guy won. Racing mad Max is yield or crash 😁 Ricciardo was one of the only team mates who could make Max look silly and Max knew it, unfortunately they were not just teammates but best friends. On that race in baku 2018 Verstappen was at full fault, he moved under braking, he brake checked as well. The crash costed the team valuable points and of course funds for fixing the two cars #AzerbaijanGP #F1

This is the only reason they have 2 cars F1’s sporting regulations don’t allow a team to enter only one car. You must field two entries, two drivers, two sets of tyres, etc. That’s why they keep filling the second seat even when it underperforms. Verstappen has been open about preferring a clear hierarchy. He has said that if he were a team principal he would always designate a number 1 and a number 2 Redbull Racing are comfortable with it because Max is the only driver who can currently extract the performance they need at the front, the car has been developed that way, and the rules force them to have a second car anyway. #F1 #RedbullRacing

As Alex Albon put it, it feels like a computer mouse with sensitivity at maximum.
