"The boat had a fitness certificate, it was certified through the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Development. The problems that occurred were as a result of negligence and human error by the captain of the boat. It had nothing to do with whether the boat was not fit or was had a certificate of fitness which was issued by the Ministry of Transport through the RIDA. So yes, it was very fit. Mr Spiros Tselentis, Managing Director of Proton Bakery, said all of the company's production is carried out at its Marondera plant. He noted that Proton sources all its flour locally from three major suppliers, maintains a strong focus on quality, and operates distribution depots in Harare and Bulawayo.
