Crimson Desert Patch 1.01 is out now. Crimson Desert previews seem ovewhelmingly positive with reviewers impressed with the game's scale, combat, open world, and attention to detail! • "One of the best skill trees I've ever seen" with 6 different playstyles • Almost every node unlocks a new combat ability • Unlock new skills by collecting Abyss Artifacts • Artifacts seem pretty easy to come by with almost every mob dropping one • You can also observe new skills from NPCs • Open world has random events • NPCs can randomly rob you and you can chase or tackle them • Stealing requires a mask or disguise or else you end up getting chased by high level guards, getting arrested, and paying a hefty fine • IGN says the open world reminded them of RDR2 • Open world is "packed" - IGN says the scale of the map had them taken back • You can interact with nearly every NPC, with some offering side quests • Skill tree includes also includes improved movement abilities like better jumping and gliding • Greymane faction system lets you manage a crew, send them on missions, and earn resources • Some previewers mentioned that the controls can feel cumbersome or over complicated • 6 hours of playtime is only scratching the surface but impressed with the scale and attention to detail • Releasing March 19th on PS5, Xbox, and PC

007 First Light | Hands-on Previews: ▫️ Glowing previews overall - it's being called a GOTY contender ▫️ 'Hitman and Uncharted but with Bond' ▫️ Batman: Arkham style melee combat that's far more robust than Hitman ▫️ Use gadgets to hack objects, open up new paths, or take out guards ▫️ For stealth, there's a scan like ability called the Q-lens that reveals the area ▫️ Gadgets require resources to use, which you can pick up around the map ▫️ Use the 'Bluff' to talk your way out of situations if you're spotted ▫️ You can improve your success rate by eavesdropping and collecting intel first ▫️ If the Bluff fails, you enter a combat phase called 'License to Kill' where the game switches from stealth to combat ▫️ License to Kill is a big change from Hitman, foregoing stealth completely for full on combat ▫️ Enemy encounters are isolated, so you won't alert the entire area if you do get spotted ▫️ Use the environment to your advantage - shoot a fire extinguisher to give yourself cover, throw objects at enemies, and more ▫️ Ammo is limited overall.
