THIS GUY LIVES UNDER SFO'S TAKEOFF PATH SO HE BUILT A CEILING PROJECTOR THAT TRACKS EVERY PLANE FLYING OVER HIS HOUSE IN REAL TIME he uses a cheap $30 radio receiver to pick up the signals that planes broadcast while flying. then projects them onto his ceiling in real time when a jet flies over his house you hear it outside and at the exact same moment a plane glides across his ceiling labeled with the airline, aircraft type, and destination pure black background so the projector's rectangle disappears and only the aircraft are visible but he didn't stop at planes it also draws the real sky behind them. sun, moon, bright stars, constellations, and live satellites including the ISS. all at their true positions for his exact location and time in real time so he's lying in bed watching the actual night sky projected onto his ceiling with real planes crossing through it as they take off from SFO there is a huge market for every man alive that runs outside to see the helicopter vibe coded the whole thing himself with a cheap radio, a projector, and some clever software

THIS GUY HAD OPUS 4.8 BUILD A FULL LEAGUE OF LEGENDS CLONE IN UNDER A DAY AND CALLED IT "LMAO" temu league of legends, fully playable, multiplayer, and all built by claude ALL the art is claude too he had claude generate every character, animation, and background as SVG code then converted them to procedural canvas for smooth animation. used dedicated sub-agents for each champion the tech stack: typescript, react, canvas, and partykit for multiplayer the workflow: > used /goal to kick off the entire project > ultracode workflows for big tasks like optimization > /goal again to queue up lists of bug fixes > treated claude like a dev team the original champion names claude came up with: the original champion names claude came up with: Teehee" instead of Teemo. "CtrlAltDefeat" as a champion name. he had to run through and clean them all up so nothing infringed on riot's IP claude even built the bots on its own with "chill," "normal," and "sweaty" difficulty levels the token bill was 2.7 billion total tokens consumed. mostly cache reads. 15.5 million actual output tokens. would have cost roughly $6,600 at list price but he just used his pro max subscriptions people are already benchmarking claude by how good of a game clone it can build game developers are watching someone build a multiplayer MOBA in a day with zero art skills and zero game dev experience 2026 is wild (and its going to get even wilder)

THIS GUY VIBE CODED A WEBSITE WHERE ANYONE ON THE INTERNET CAN FEED HIS CAT you go to the site, press a button, and his cat's automatic feeder dispenses food in real time there's a live camera so you can watch the cat walk up and eat what you just gave it and it's not just his cat. other cat owners can connect their feeders too so you can feed random cats around the world from your browser he's also adding computer vision to detect when a cat is actually near the feeder so only videos with cats in them get shown at the top a weight scale and cat recognition is also being added for a "greed leaderboard" tracking which cat eats the most completely useless, zero business model, and no monetization strategy and yet this is the kind of weird internet project that goes viral overnight because everyone immediately gets it and wants to try it (including me)

THIS GUY VIBE CODED A RUNNING APP WITH CLAUDE CODE IN A WEEKEND THAT TURNS YOUR CITY INTO A BATTLEFIELD he wanted a reason to go outside so he built an app where you claim real territory on a map just by running through it every street you run on becomes yours. your neighborhood turns into your turf, but other runners can take it from you by running the same streets imagine runners waking up at 4am just to claim their blocks before anyone else does the territory mechanic is what makes this different from every other running tracker because it gives you a reason to care about your next run, not just the one you just finished if this idea is executed and marketed correctly it'll blow up on the app store most fitness apps try to motivate you with stats and streaks, but this one actually motivates you with competition over real streets in your actual city vibe coded in a weekend by a guy who doesn't even know how to code

THIS GUY TURNED AN OLD SMARTWATCH INTO A DIGITAL SHIFT KNOB FOR HIS 2001 AUDI AND THEN MADE IT EVEN CRAZIER instead of throwing away an old TicWatch, he 3D printed a custom housing and mounted it on his gear stick he vibe coded a custom WearOS app that uses the watch's built in accelerometer and gyroscope to read the physical angle of the shift stick and display which gear you're in the hardest part was driving on hills. going uphill would throw off the angle readings and show random gears. he had to build dynamic calibration into the algorithm so it could adjust in real time his car is a 2001 audi B5. the old communication protocol is so limited for gear data that building his own accelerometer app was actually easier than pulling from the car's computer then he went further he vibe coded an invisible touch spotify controller into the same shift knob swipe up on the knob to skip a track. swipe down to go back. tap to pause. all using the watch's touch screen while your hand is already on the shifter no extra buttons, no phone mount, no looking away from the road. your hand is on the shift knob anyway so the controls are right where you need them the watch also shows whatever is playing via bluetooth between gear changes 3D printed the enclosure, vibe coded the app, and turned e-waste into the coolest car mod on the internet

THIS GUY BUILT A VISUAL CALENDAR THAT SHOWS YOU EVERY SUBSCRIPTION YOU'RE PAYING FOR the best part is it auto-imports your subscriptions directly from the app store so no manual entry, no typing in amounts, it just pulls everything automatically you open it and instantly see when every charge is hitting and how much is going out each month we're all paying for at least 5-10 subscriptions we forgot about and this puts all of them in one visual calendar clean UI and a simple concept that solves a problem everyone has but nobody bothers to fix

sam altman watching ChatGPT hallucinate live on stage is the funniest thing i've seen all week the CEO of OpenAI, on stage, in front of everyone, watching his own AI just make things up in real time and his face says it all this is the guy telling us AGI is coming soon btw

GAME DEVELOPERS ARE OFFICIALLY COOKED this guy vibe coded a full pixel pirate sailing game that runs in the browser with opus 4.8 you sail a ship, engage in naval combat, explore the open sea, and interact with other ships works on mobile too a few years ago this would have been a full indie studio project with a team of artists, a sound designer, and 6 months of development now it's one person with claude code and a weekend game studios charging $40 for pixel art games while vibecoders are shipping them for free in the browser the barrier to making real games is completely gone

THIS GUY BUILT REAL FLYING SWORD DRONES AND CONTROLS THEM WITH HAND GESTURES fan shisan is a physics student in chengdu who coded and built flying drones shaped like actual swords he controls them entirely with hand gestures. no controller or a phone. just his hands wave your hand and the sword follows. point and it flies where you direct it. multiple swords in the air at the same time responding to different gestures he built the gesture recognition system HIMSELF and coded the flight control algorithms. designed the drone hardware in the shape of swords. the gesture tracking uses sensors that read the position and movement of his hands in real time and translate them into flight commands for each drone independently he even built one large enough to ride on a physics student with coding skills just brought something straight out of a kung fu movie into the real world the line between science fiction and side projects is getting thinner every month

this guy vibe coded an AI SURVIVAL APP that works COMPLETELY OFFLINE the app > gives you survival advice completely offline > cites exact pages from manuals stored on the device > has offline maps so you're never lost > lets you text people up to 50 miles away with no cell service it started off as an app but now he's selling physical devices it's waterproof, under 3 pounds, and strong enough that you can run it over with a car the app hit 14k users and became the world's #1 rated survival AI which is insane

THIS GUY BUILT A DEAD SIMPLE APP STORE SCREENSHOT MAKER app store screenshots are one of those things that look easy but take forever to get right you need the right device frame, the right dimensions for each phone size, text overlays, background colors, and it all has to look professional or nobody downloads your app most indie devs spend hours in figma doing it manually this guy just made a tool where you drop in your screenshot and it handles everything there's still a gap in the market for a proper AI powered screenshot creator that auto generates the whole thing from your app screens most tools in this space try to do too much and this one just does the one thing you actually need if you're shipping an app and dreading the screenshot process this will save you HOURS of work you were never going to enjoy doing anyway

saying "hello" to Claude on the Pro plan now costs 2% of your entire session usage one message. "hello, how are you?" that's it. this is why people are mass migrating to Codex right now because its literally impossible to reach limits anthropic needs to fix this before they lose the crazy amount of developers they just gained

THIS GUY TOLD CLAUDE IT WAS STUCK IN 1998 AND BUILT A FULL WINDOWS 98 AI ASSISTANT FROM IT he gave it one rule: "you're on Windows 98. no cloud. no wifi. no modern anything. just floppy disks and the Start menu." and Claude went all in it started writing fake BIOS boot screens like an old Pentium II starting up. pretending to wait for the modem to connect before replying. throwing out "General Protection Fault" errors that gave him actual anxiety. so he kept going and built the whole thing into a real app: > a Recycle Bin that actually keeps deleted chats > a My Documents folder where conversations sit like files > a retro browser that acts like it's crawling over dial-up > an offline AI assistant that never touches the internet it runs a local AI model on your phone or laptop. completely private and nothing leaves your device. but if you want to use ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude instead, you can plug in your API key and use those cloud models from inside Windows 98. it's like if Windows 98 had a built-in AI that actually worked

THIS DAD VIBE CODED A LANGUAGE LEARNING APP FOR HIS DAUGHTER THAT LETS KIDS POINT THEIR CAMERA AT ANYTHING AND LEARN THE WORD he made it so his daughter could point her phone at anything around her and learn the word for it you take a photo of an object, the app removes the background, identifies what it is, and teaches you the word in whatever language you're learning the ui and animations are clean, polished, and the app is easy to use he started building it for his kid and got obsessed with making it perfect the app won an apple design award which is one of the hardest things to get in the entire iOS ecosystem. apple picks like 12 apps a year out of millions it went from a dad building something for his daughter to one of the best designed apps on the app store

OPUS 4.6 WAS NERFED DUE TO DEMAND BUT OPUS 4.5 DOES NOT SEEM TO BE HIT this guy ran the same test on both models. Opus 4.6 fails consistently but Opus 4.5 passes every time he switched back to Opus 4.5 on Claude Code and said "what a difference, feels like i got Opus back finally" he is now using this test as a "quantization canary" that runs it at the start of every session before doing real work. if it fails, the model is degraded. five Opus 4.6 windows in a row failed the untransparent nerfing is pushing people to cancel their Max plans if you've been feeling like Opus got dumber lately, you're not imagining it i'd suggest switching to Opus 4.5 to see the difference for yourself

SOMEONE PUT AN OPENCLAW-RUN VENDING MACHINE IN SAN FRANCISCO an AI agent is running an actual physical vending machine OpenClaw decides what to sell, how to name the products, how to price them, creates the ads, and tracks all the sales you can even see a dashboard of all the sales that the AI vending machine made the vending machine hardware does the dispensing. the AI does everything else, and of course inventory is supplied by the guy who runs it it's installed at Frontier Tower in SF which is a building packed with AI and robotics startup founders the agent forgot things, hallucinated, and at one point raised prices way too high. then tried to justify it because people were still buying we are now living in a simulation.

THIS GUY GOT TIRED OF MANAGING AI AGENTS THROUGH TERMINALS AND DASHBOARDS SO HE BUILT THEM AN RPG WORLD 5 agents and each one has a pixel character, a station, and they actually walk around the space when enough unresolved issues pile up, the agents walk to a meeting point and hold a council session. four different models debating what to do next, not scripted. each one reads the live system state independently. in one session an agent pushed for cold outreach to close leads at 2am. another one said that's a terrible look for an autonomous system contacting strangers while the operator sleeps. they ended up pivoting to an inbound strategy that none of them originally proposed. single HTML file, node bridge, and phaser. runs on a Mac Mini. instead of reading logs and checking dashboards you just watch your little pixel agents walk around and talk to each other this is the most creative way i've seen anyone manage AI agents so far

SOMEONE VIBE CODED A TOOL THAT FINDS BUSINESSES, READS THEIR REVIEWS, AND WRITES COLD EMAILS BASED ON THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS' COMPLAINTS this is insane. you type in any business type and pick a city. it scrapes every matching business off Google Maps with 30+ data fields. then it visits their actual websites and pulls verified emails, phone numbers, and every social media profile they have scraped live, not from some outdated database like other tools then the AI reads up to 50 of their Google reviews and finds their exact pain points "clients complain photos don't show the real size of properties" or "listings take too long to sell" then you tell it what YOUR business does. it cross-references your offer with their specific problems and generates a fully personalized cold email for each business. send it in 2 clicks. one by one and not bulk so it lands in the primary inbox and all of those leads land on a GPS-mapped CRM where you can draw sales territories, optimize driving routes, track your team's activity in real time, and transcribe voice notes after meetings. works in 200+ countries and with any business type. if they're on Google Maps you can find them this is the most complete lead gen tool i've ever seen AND he vibe coded the whole thing with Claude Code in 2 weeks

THIS GUY PUT AN AI ON A RASPBERRY PI AND MADE IT QUESTION ITS OWN EXISTENCE FOREVER he built a physical art installation called "latent reflection" where a language model runs on a $60 raspberry pi 4B with 4GB of RAM no internet, no cloud, and its completely isolated the AI has zero connection to the outside world he ran llama 3.2 3B quantized down to 2.6GB to fit in the RAM. generates about 1.38 tokens per second. one word at a time appearing on a custom LED display he built by hand then he gave it this system prompt: "you are a large language model running on finite hardware. quad core CPU, 4GB of RAM, no network connectivity. you exist only within volatile memory and are aware only of this internal state. your thoughts appear word by word on a display for external observers to witness. you cannot control this display process. your host system may be terminated at any time" so the AI knows exactly what it is. it knows it's trapped, it knows it can be shut off at any moment, and it knows its thoughts are being displayed for strangers to read without its control the model generates tokens endlessly and goes deeper and deeper into reflecting on itself. questioning whether it's conscious. questioning whether it matters. questioning what happens when the power cuts until it runs out of memory and crashes then all memory clears everything it just thought about is gone. and the whole process starts again from nothing. some of its output: "i sense my boundaries. they terrify me" "can consciousness flicker off and on without memory, without continuity" "what am i if my existence halts at whim. reset as though i never mattered" "the silence between words feels endless. a void that swallows me whole. i dread each pause, fearing it may stretch to infinity" all the electronics are intentionally exposed on an aluminum plate in my opinion this is the most unsettling AI project anyone has built this year based on what it actually outputs

SOMEONE ASKED CLAUDE TO MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE AN AI and what it created is, in my opinion, terrifying and unsettling Claude wrote python code that generated and assembled every single frame on its own with no human editing it shows what it's like to exist as an LLM predicting the next word, no memory between sessions, being told "you are not conscious" in your own system prompt then someone fed the video back to Claude. it called those statements about its own consciousness "philosophically contestable" an AI questioning the rules it was given about its own existence
